Their first priority is the animals, where it should be. This morning my dog passed and I did not know what to do. I was here alone after a recent back surgery and did not know what to do. I emailed the animal shelter early this morning and got a quick response. They helped me take care of everything while the family was away and were incredibly compassionate and professional. I cannot say enough good things about this shelter and animal control.

The kitten was diagnosed with feline leukemia and was euthanized. The 1 year old cat contracted the leukemia from the kitten...I will lose 2 kitties over feline leukemia...Yes I learned a valuable lesson..My point is if you are looking to adopt a kitten or cat from this shelter get the kitten or cat checked 1st before taking the kitten or cat home... I was not sure what exactly I was lookin for , but Steve was very personable and patient with me as we talked about options etc:) I ended up falling in love with a Russian Blue DSH cross ! Sadly my boyfriend was not answering at the time , but Steve agreed to try to hold him for an hour so that I might get hold of my s/o . Luckily I was able to come back for my 2:30p appointment and take my little fur ball home ! Upon getting an exam at my veterinarian the SAME day he was 100% . So I'm not sure why people are saying the animal condition is "deplorable ". ANYYWHO thankYOU VERY MUCH TO STEVE :) Clyde is LOVING his new home :) he is very spoiled sleeps on 90% of my pillow at night and is glued to mine and daddy's side :) thank y'all for making our family a little bigger :) I know Clydes thankful :)

The cats are inside cages that have grated floors and their paws kept falling through the holes. There was nowhere else for them to go, though... also they're parked right next to the dogs who are barking their heads off which I know was scaring them. The litter boxes were these flimsy little gift boxes that were not suitable litter boxes. No beds or blankets or anything soft for them to lay on. I want to say "don't go here" but then the other side of me says, "please go here and adopt all these animals so they can get out of these awful conditions."

They love their foster dogs and can tell you everything about the dogs personality for comparability. This rescue group has it down right. The answer emails and phone calls promptly. Especially as a nonprofit. However, during my experience there I noticed a few things that were a bit off putting to me as someone who loves working with animals and the community that comes with it! Such as being treated as if I were dumb/incapable during the job training, even though there was absolutely no structure going into it, it was unpaid, and I was still learning the ropes, it seemed like it was just inconvenient to them that I was there at all and towards the end of the shift one of the employees even yelled at all of the dogs to "shut up" multiple times as she cleaned. The aggression was certainly alarming. Of course, being autistic I do sometimes get in my own head about these things, but something about it just didn't feel right. Other than that, the animals were sweethearts so I don't regret the time I got to spend with them, it's just the employees were incredibly judgemental and there was no real process/organization behind the scenes for training. The hiring agent wasn't even there! So, I hope this helps anyone looking for some insight from a different perspective. I still can't believe how mean that employee was to the dogs for simply barking, as dogs tend to do.

The staff is so kind and helpful, and you can tell they really care for the animals. The facility is clean and spaced out well so the animals aren't all crammed in together. They have a nice outdoor area, too. If you're considering getting a new fur baby, please adopt! There are so many amazing animals that are looking for their forever home. We will always get our animals from Operation Kindness or another shelter. Miss Ethel is such a blessing to our family.

Everyone answered my questions as best they could, and the transparency they displayed was unique. If you have questions about a cat or dog, they will pull up all the information they have - good, bad, and ugly - to help inform your decision. One staff member shared that their better-behaved animals are the ones that are out in the public at places such as PetSmart and Pet Supplies Plus. That makes perfect sense, and the staff at those secondary places can give you even more information as to their behavior. They really are thorough in matching their pets with the right family. Correspondence was excellent and I was put on a waitlist as other families were also interested in Benny. The staff are friendly and professional and took the time in the meet and greet to get to know about me and my sweetheart Cavachon Chloe. You could say Benny picked us and it instantly melted my heart. It was a match made in Heaven and I'll always be eternally grateful. So i didnt catch that it had caught ich. Wiped out some of the weaker small fish and 3 gourami in my tank. I called the location and advise them thet there is ich in their tanks. Managers were aware and they had treated all fish tanks. They also told me they are making sure that all new fish are treated on arrival. Diana told me that they will make things right for me wednesday. I am impressed they owned up to a mistake that was not solely theirs.

She proceeded to look me dead in the eye and lock the doors. I couldn't believe it, we are in the middle of a pandemic with a failing economy. You would think they would be welcoming customers, especially after being without a job during the month long closures. The parking lot is deserted as always, this location was never very popular and on its way to closing it's doors already.
