I had 4 bottles as I don't drink very often. Over the years my tastes have changed. Once again Kim gave me a bottle of Johnny Walker Black for a belated birthday gift. Now I don't mean to be an ungrateful alcoholic but I've kind of evolved beyond the Black. My brother gave me a 14yr Glenfiddich which is tasty but after trying the 15yr old I was hooked. The 15yr is so smooth w/a reasonable price that you don't need a second mortgage for. I took the Johnny Walker & traded it in. I had to add a few more dollars but I got my Preferred single malt. The selection is vast & me being the uneducated I asked some questions about the single malts there. In the end I went w/a safe option. I don't want to do is buy a bottle that I don't care for and let it sit. Even though I have another 15yr old at home it never hurts to have another one.

They always have a great selection even if you're not in time for the newest, hottest beer releases. One of the best, if not THE best local brewery selection is always stocked full of delicious beers. Most of the store is beer now a days, so if you're looking for liquor then you might want to try somewhere else. If you're a beer geek then this is a must stop! It's easy to get to. Right off of Elston, north of Addison and right down the street from the Rev taproom on Kedzie. Parking is usually easily available in the lot. There's only been a handful of times when it's been tricky finding a spot. Mark, who is usually behind the counter, is always friendly and helpful. As a fellow cashier in a different liqour store I feel they are always on suspect things. The company pays them for space rental and they make a decent cut, how do you not take responsibility when it's a partnership between two companies. For that reason I'm reporting to the Ficus and BBB. Because I legit was robbed and threatened by a coworker after I was just released out the hospital as well, I called the police ans they did nothing to help me resolve the issue. Please boy cot this store and go to a more affordable liqour store down in fullerton and cicero, prices are better there anyway.

After moving to Chicago about 2 years ago I told my family back in Michigan that surprisingly even…read morethough Chicago is a large city it has some of the friendliest people a person could want to meet. The family that runs this store is a fine example of what I was telling my family about the people here. I know it's good business to be nice to the customers, but these fine folks take it up another level. They make you feel like they really are glad to see you. Other businesses could learn a lot from these people! As far as what they have available in their store it's a typical convenience store with a good selection of beer, liquor, pop, chips cigarettes, candy and of course a selection of a few common staples that you might find you need in a pinch but don't feel like going all the way to a grocery store to get. The prices are pretty typical of convenience store pricing. They do have a parking lot so you don't have to worry about finding on street parking. One big advantage of patronizing this store is that a lot of the local police like to take their breaks at this store so it's not uncommon to have 2 or more uniformed officers in the store when you walk in. I don't think of this area as a high crime area, but it's nice to know that the odds of this store ever getting robbed are about nonexistent due to the police presence. You can feel safe going here at any time of night. With the regular appearances of police at this store a person would have to be really stupid to ever try and rob it. With the super friendly service here it truly deserves the 5 star rating that I and others have rated it. Stop in, I'm sure you'll end up agreeing.
