The Gare des Guillemins is a gorgeous train station located in Liège. This is the main station in Liège and the third largest station in Belgium. The gorgeous station was redesigned by Spanish architect and structural engineer Santiago Calatrava in 2009. There are nine tracks and five platforms. There is a Liège Tourism Office, Starbucks, and train ticket office located at this station. The station is serviced by both high-speed trains and locals trains. Your B ticket will allow you to transfer to the local train to St. Lambert station in the city center. They where working in the rails the day I was in Liège. You can catch buses #1 or #4 to St. Lambert (city center.) I simply showed my B train ticket to the bus driver who gave me a pass indicating the train line was inoperative. Usually, the bus ride is €2. read more
