I was NOT disappointed! I just got my braces off yesterday and my teeth are BEAUTIFUL!!! I am an adult patient who got a second round of braces after not wearing my retainer from the braces I had in my teenage years and what a difference! Dr. Nalin was able to have me in and out of them in 6 months and my teeth are perfect! He even did some finishing touches to the corners of my teeth from when they got out of place, just to make sure that they looked picture perfect after the braces came off. I cannot thank him enough!!! He's a fantastic Orthodontist and a wonderful person in general. He's always warm and friendly, along with all of his office staff, and always nice to talk to. I would recommend him and his office to absolutely ANYONE!!!

The dentist himself is okay. He takes his job seriously. Perhaps a little too seriously. Humility can go a long way and this man heavily lacks it. The whole time I'm there, it feels like my nerves just can't settle and I'm in severe fight or flight mode. I never used to get that feeling at the dentist either. My advice? Find someplace else. There are better offices out there. The only reason they're not a complete and total loss is because they DID save a tooth of mine that needed a large filling. That process went smoothly and I'm thankful he did it.

A 14-year-old girl on the team got hit in the mouth with a frisbee, knocking the wire in her braces half-way out of her mouth. Her lip was bruised, torn, and bleeding, and she could hardly talk; eating or otherwise waiting for the weekend-long event to conclude (and flying home to California) was hardly possible. I called half a dozen orthodontists and dentists, leaving messages at each (closed) business that I had an emergency. Dr. Bielas returned my call in about 15 minutes, and agreed to meet me and the girl within the hour at her office. She arrived shortly after we did, dressed very nicely; she had come straight from a church event. She had a very kind, concerned manner with the girl, put both of us at ease immediately, took a very professional medical history, and fixed the problem very quickly and ably (bring those parent-signed emergency medical release forms with kids everywhere!) . As if this wasn't enough, she also declined taking a payment from me or payment information for the girl's parents. Here are some of the things I like about Dr. Schmidt's office: +All the staff, including Dr. Schmidts, are very friendly. +It is expensive (as it is an orthodontic treatment), but they are pretty transparent about the fees. +They give you a discount if you pay in full (instead of installment). I got a 5% discount for paying cash upfront. As it costs several thousand dollars, 5% actually means something. +Dr. Schmidt's office is across the street/parking lot from my son's dentist, Dr. Piper, which is pretty convenient. When my son has a cleaning appointment at Dr. Piper's office, he goes to Dr. Schmidt's office to take off the wires first. After cleaning at Dr. Piper's office, he goes back to Dr. Schmidt's office to have the wires put back in! I'm pretty happy with all the services they have provided.
