My Wife, children and I all had appointments on the same day for a checkup, clean and polish. Digital x-rays preceded the clean, that, the only bad thing about it was that it tickled! If you have any fears/reservations about dentists, go and see Dr Dickson.

England doesn't exactly have the best reputation for teeth or dentistry. But the time came and we had the insurance so off we went. I was holding off on writing this review until I had some real work done by Dr. Dickson. So yesterday I went on line to his handy dandy appointment website and booked myself in to have a cracked filling replaced. I think he is the best dentist I have ever had. My cleaning was actually pleasurable. No blood. My filling replacement well, it was dental work so I can't say it was pleasurable. What I can say is that apart from the Novocaine shot I didn't feel any pain. Even now that the numbness has worn off I feel totally fine. My filling feels very natural and like the old one when I bite on it. You know how sometimes you can just tell that someone is good at what they do? I get that feeling here. I think he is not only good at being a dentist but he really likes it and wants to make you as comfortable as possible. I also like that he really explains what is going on so you know what treatment you need, what treatments can wait and what is really important. Plus I can say that he is the first dentist ever to not mention my tongue piercing. Usually I get a lecture. Nope, nothing. Thanks again Dr. Dickson!!

Chiswick Park Dental Practice is, quite frankly, the best dentist in England…read more Hailing from America, I was shocked to find that - of the dental practices I dealt with in England - a max of 15 minutes was allocated for a dental cleaning. In the US, a full hour is allocated for a dental cleaning which includes a quick check by the dentist at the end of the appointment. In England, dental cleanings and dentist visits are two separate appointments which took some getting used to but I have actually come to like because it's not necessary that I see a dentist every six months but it is necessary that I get a dental cleaning every six months - something instilled in me by my other since my first tooth popped through my gums. At CPDP, their dental cleanings are 30 minutes in length which provide the hygienist enough time to remove tartar and polish your teeth (no flossing as provided in America). There is an American hygenist at CPDP named LeAnn (or LeAnna?) who does an excellent job for those Americans out there looking for an American hygenist. Pradip Gandhi is a very thorough dentist with great bedside manner; I'd guess he was trained in America but I can't say that with certainty. He's honest and willing to answer any questions you have. For example, chipped the backside of my upper front tooth about eight months ago. I mentioned this to him and he said that if it is not bothering me, that he recommends to leave it alone, stating further that he could patch it but that in his experience, the patch generally would come loose within 2--3 months because of the way I chipped my tooth (merely breaking off part of the enamel, not a break like missing an entire section of my tooth). I really appreciated that he was honest with me and felt as though he had my best interest in mind. The one thing to note about CPDP though is they have a very strict cancellation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, you will be charged. Easy to get to via the Chiswick Park and Turnham Green Tube stations.

I'm reviewing this dental surgery here because they unfairly removed two of my Google reviews…read more(which were perfectly honest and fair), before proceeding to bombard their own Google page with a flurry of suspiciously positive (and obviously fake) reviews. My experience: - Two badly-done fillings which quickly crumbled after being fitted. On my next visit, I told the dentist there was a notable gap in one of the fillings, but very concerningly, she insisted it was fine, despite taking two x-rays and me being able to feel this big gap with my tongue. Incidentally, she flagged various other "issues" with my teeth, which would cost hundreds of pounds to address. - My last appointment: dentist tried pushing £500+ worth of private treatments on me, most of which were cosmetic. When I said I wanted to go on the NHS list for essential treatments (including a filling) as is my right, she kept trying to put me off by insisting that I would be waiting 6+ months for an NHS appointment. Even when I said that was fine, she still persisted with trying to push her extortionate private treatments on me. - The dentist's tone of speaking was appalling, and very berating. I've not been spoken to that way by a dentist since I was a child. She berated me for not going to the dentist regularly enough, despite me saying I'm on an average income - and not a rich Chiswick homeowner, which seems to be her preferred customer demographic.

As I worked in Chiswick, I eventually got the courage to visit Chiswick Dental Care in April 2017. I was first greeted by the most welcoming receptionist Poppy, who took the time to explain exactly how the appointment system worked and made me feel comfortable to make an appointment for an initial examination. On arriving for the first appointment, Poppy again was most hospitable and understanding, as I was explaining how nervous I was at the thought of meeting the dentist for the first time. Then appeared the dentist - Sara...... at this stage I was nearly changing my mind but was determined to continue. After literally one minuet, I knew that everything was not going to be as bad I anticipated following Sara initial light-hearted friendly introduction. Sara explained everything in detail and the process moving forward, proposing different options of treatments that were required, and leaving adequate time between appointments to allow me to get used of visiting the dentist. Since this first appointment, I have had many treatments with Sara and have always been treated with the most exceptionally care and professionalism. The whole of the Chiswick Dental Care practice has changed my impression of visiting the dentist, in the best possible way. I can only say that I have been very fortunate to have discovered Sara and her team and would without any doubt whatsoever, highly recommend this practice.
