I've gone to a number of instructors' classes and I've generally liked them all! They all have different styles and means of teaching but still follow classical Pilates principles. Some have more difficult classes even at the same class level than others, so definitely try a few different instructors to see whose style you enjoy best. Some of my favorites are Stephanie, Laura and Thalia. The studio super big which is great when you're in there, but does make it occasionally hard to get into classes. They do have a 12-hour cancellation window prior to class, and spots will typically open up if you waitlist. I haven't had that much trouble getting into afternoon classes. They offer monthly memberships and very occasionally have packages. I personally prefer the class packages for more flexibility but it seems rare that they have them. They dont always advertise it in the app, and I often find out from their instagram. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a Pilates studio!

If you want go get a great yoga workout even if normal yoga classes make you hurt try this place!…read more I love this yoga studio! I took classes two or three times a week over half my pregnancy. I didn't just attend the prenatal classes but also all the classes I physically felt capable of. I 100% believe the classes helped to prepare my body for labor. Yoga teaches mental and physical resilience and A Gentle Way Yoga does this. When I recommend this studio to other people I call it "old people yoga" since the main clientele is older. But I loved that! It's not a place to compete or show case your latest active wear. It's a comfortable welcoming place! I always got a great workout and felt amazing after class. I love, love, LOVE that the instructors teach the modifications for every yoga pose! Not everyone has the physicality to complete every yoga pose exactly...cough, cough...me! At other yoga studios I would be made to feel inadequate, strained, dismissed and uncomfortable when I couldn't do a movement. I think that's why a lot of people give up on yoga. At A Gentle Way yoga they teach you how to get a great yoga workout even if you have physical limitations. They don't make you feel like a failure if your body says no to a particular movement. They work with you to get the most from you body. Before you know it you are actually getting better and not needing to modify at all!

Located in Escondido on Grand near Center City Parkway. I have been coming here for over a year…read morenow. This place has soul. It is known for Yin Yoga, the type where you use breathing and hold the poses for 3-5 minutes. Please see my yin yoga photo poses. The majority of studios offer vinyasa or hatha or ashtanga which are faster flows. Here you can find power yoga and hatha as well. I'm big fan of heated Hatha...as it flows, but not too fast or demanding. The heat is like in low 90 degree F. I love all the teachers here. Also note that many of the yin classes run for 1 hr 45 min. There are not as many classes offered as a corporate studio, but I'm so happy this is here. Wondering the cost? It's reasonable. There is a free week for new people. There are many options: Single class $23, 5 classes in 1 month $200 $20 each), 10 class bundle (punch card) $170-$200 ($17 each), monthly $150-$170. The lower of the range is for auto-renew. So when you come to the 10th class on a punch card, your credit card will auto-renew. Pretty convenient. I am on the 10 class bundle cuz I have a pretty busy schedule. Sound baths are offered every 1st and 3rd Fridays at 7:30p, check website for $20-$25.

Summary: Breathe Degrees felt like an ancient bathhouse ritual reborn in modern form...moving…read morethrough heat, breath, and embodied ritual alongside others in a warm, communal flow. This studio is intentionally designed to help you adapt, expand, and feel more alive. One of my favorite studio experiences so far. I genuinely did not want to leave! The Philosophy & First Impression: Before my first visit, I received a welcome video explaining the studio's philosophy: Using breath and hormetic stress (heat, cold, & movement) to grow stronger, healthier, and happier together. Their belief is simple & powerful, "When you take control of your breath, you take charge of your life." When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear a man inside calling out, "Breathe in... let it go. Breathe in... let it go." (It seriously felt like the building was breathing.) The Space: I was warmly welcomed by staff who helped me check in, sign a waiver, and gave me a wristband and a full tour. The studio includes: a sauna; a cold plunge room; a yoga room; an AQUATru filtered water station; cubbies, dressing rooms, and a bathroom; and a lounge room with an educational video on their method The Class (Vinyasa Flow & Breath 90): The yoga room was arranged in a circular formation, so we faced one another, creating a shared presence & community. The class itself was an intermediate, heated power vinyasa with a smooth, steady breath-to-movement flow. Wendi cued in Sanskrit followed by English and layered in breath cues and gentle inward-turning suggestions in grounded poses. After a steady standing series, we moved into deep stretching and incredible twisting and detoxifying poses on the ground. The Breathwork Experience: After yoga, we were guided onto our backs with padded eye masks waiting for us. Wendi led us through three rounds of open-mouth inhales and exhales ("Breathe in, let it go"), followed by Mula Bandha and long-breath holds. During one of the holds, I received a neck and shoulder massage with peppermint oil, and I could feel the cooling, soothing effect immediately. The third round was the most powerful, with reminders that our bodies were fully oxygenated. After the final exhale, we were released into savasana. Wendi closed with a beautiful reflection about looking back on our day, our week, our month, our life and saying, "It was a wild and wonderful ride," which perfectly described the whole experience. The Teacher: Wendi was incredibly welcoming, thorough, and present. She took time one-on-one beforehand to explain and demonstrate the breathwork, which is essential for a sense of safety. After class, she stayed to connect personally and encouraged me to explore the sauna and cold plunge. She definitely holds a grounded, confident, and supportive container. The Sauna & Community Vibe: (I forgot a bathing suit for the cold plunge, but I spent time in the sauna.) It was a warm, social gathering space where the energy of the class naturally flowed in. People were connecting, chatting, and relaxing together. It felt like a communal ritual space. Overall Experience: This studio has so much to offer! The integration of breathwork, yoga, heat, cold, and education is genuinely thoughtful (not trendy). It was such a pleasure to experience Breathe Degrees. This is a must for any yoga enthusiast! Practical Note: First-timers must arrive 15 minutes early, no exceptions. This studio prioritizes safety and intentionality.
