I came to this convenient care thinking that I would be seen by a physician. I don't really care…read morefor urgent cares, but I might have to rethink this next time. Very slow moving and you don't get a doctor you get a NP. I called my doctor before coming here and I had the opportunity to see the nurse practitioner at her office, but I opted to come here thinking it maybe quicker Service but my appointment time for the nurse practitioner came and went and I'm still waiting to be seen. Terrible.

I've been utilizing this medical office for YEARS. Main reason is that with the type of location…read morethey are, they charge insurance the same rate as a Dr office, but you can typically get in same day like an urgent care. That's important as last time I tried to get into my Dr office thinking I maybe had a sinus infection, they only appt they could get me was more than a week away... Some of the services are limited compared to an urgent care, but they are great for the basics: sprains, flu, sinus infections, strep, aches, etc. Currently you have to sign up for an appointment. This can be done online which is nice. This does change from time to time though, sometimes they do walk ins. I always call in advance to ask. Dr Tim Moore has been helping me here for more than 10 years. He is kind, patient and very knowledgeable. I've also been helped from a female Dr in the last couple of years - I was also pleased with her service. So why the 4 instead of 5? Simple things... last time I called they told me you had to schedule an appt and could only schedule same day. NO mention at all that I could do it online and when you do you don't have to wait until the next day. Be proactive, if someone is already sick they aren't trying to guess and figure things out or wait and wait. Also the front desk can be confusing. One side is for an actual Dr office, the other side is for Convenient Care. This is not clearly labeled.

Four stars because scheduling is sometimes difficult and getting through on the phone is nearly…read moreimpossible. All of this is made MUCH better with MyChart, though. Dr. McIntosh has been my primary care doctor for over a decade. He is very personable and has an excellent bedside manner. He has seen me through quite a few health issues and always pops through when I've been admitted to the hospital. We don't have all the answers for my health problems but I can't say he doesn't LISTEN to every single one of them. He orders tests and refers me to specialists when needed. I've never felt misunderstood or dismissed which is not something I can say for many many specialists I've seen. To be fair, Auto Immune diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose but I can confidently say Dr. McIntosh is doing everything he can to help me get answers. I would send anyone I know to see him without reservation. *Read up on Celiac Disease, doc! The amount of misinformation from medical professionals on this is criminal and a huge disservice to those who have it. Effects from celiac damage can spill over into almost every other part of your body. Celiac is for life and a negative blood test/scope (after a positive one) means you're doing well GF. it does NOT mean Celiac went away and you can eat what you wish! Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk (which I shockingly have to give to almost every doctor I've seen.)

A few years ago I was in search of a great doctor but was having a hard time finding one... I…read morechecked out a couple that were okay, but the hunt continued until I found Dr. McIntosh. I was sold after my first appointment. If you live in the St. Peters/O'Fallon area, this is your guy. If you live downtown, this is still your guy. I swear he's worth the drive. I've never had a doctor pay more attention to what I'm telling him and genuinely care about what it is that I'm saying... and that's priceless. He's also a pretty funny guy who tries to be "hip" to what's going on in the world and strikes up the funniest conversations! Dr. McIntosh is thorough and knowledgeable, and he'll get you back up and running in no time. I've seen him for typical stuff such as allergies and colds, and he makes great recommendations and always gives me tips that help me feel ten times better. I even had to call the after-hours line once with a bad sinus infection (sure he appreciated that one) and he was still as caring and attentive even though I was bugging him late at night. What puts him above all others is how he follows up and doesn't give up until you've fixed whatever the problem is. For myself, the allergy queen, he prescribed a medicine and a nose spray and had me check in with him 7 days later via the phone, and we spoke that often until he had me on a plan that was working wonders. Looks like I'll be driving that 45 minutes next time I need him!

Ballwin Location…read more (1)Leading with this: We saw a different Doctor for our kids-their whole life & he's amazing. Sadly, he's not able to work anymore. He's the absolute best man. He's a 10!!!NONE of this would happening if he was able to be there because he takes time and really cares. (2)Nurse T is awesome and ALWAYS takes time to have conversations & connections with our sons. She's SUPER!! (3)On our recent visit, Dr. P. Hinton was very confusing and condescending to my son, who is on the Autism Spectrum. Totally gaslighting him -- and me. I had to cut him off from speaking because he was making my son very uncomfortable. There are things we are working on with our son and making progress, but, not enough apparently for his standards. We were there for a routine well visit. (4)Pushing about getting bloodwork there in the office & about our homeschooling choices. (5)Their chairs in the waiting room are falling apart. Electricians tape is being used to hold the arms together. One chair has a BROKEN FALLING APART back rest. (6)Their answering service is at a call center out of the country. (7)I spoke with Serena(?) regarding scheduling his appointment and she became very rude when I asked a question about our normal Dr. She also was condescending saying "will you be preparing your son for his shots? Because we know how he is" then proceeded to laugh. He gets anxious but not out of hand. Ever. She's never met him. (8)We've only been there a few times at the new location in Ballwin where other doctors are. We are very disappointed & already set up with another Physician at a completely different practice. (9)We only kept the appt so his SLP therapy could get renewed. They renewed it and we won't be back.
