Left me hanging thanks garden center
Johnny A.

This place is horrible. I called for over 2 hours . Phones don't work or they just don't care . Tried to place an order for sod since 8 am . They finally answered my call around 10:30 am just to tell me I should have called earlier they could no longer take my order . Completely ruined my plans for my job I had to do.horrible costumer service

Refused my service when I arrived at 2:50pm while their website says they closed at 3pm on Saturday.

Don't bother or waste your time. Terrible customer service rude staff! Prices twice as high as San Jose vendors.

It was enough that I noticed a couple of workers glared at me. For what's meant to be a leisurely, outdoor space, they overall don't appear very happy or warm, at least not to the casual customer curious enough to walk in on a weekend. I did end up getting a reasonably priced house plant (~$26, sticker says it's from a farm in Half Moon Bay) and a beautiful pinkish 5-stem rose bouquet (~$12) because they looked nice and healthy and I knew they'd make me happy, but the vibe itself here isn't the best compared to other nurseries. This also isn't really a full walk-in florist space. There are some pretty bouquet options to choose from, but it's not as extensive as expected particularly given the other reviews that make it sound like a dedicated florist service. I did see a lot of colorful potted orchids lined up across the front window. Also, overall the items in the gift shop are extremely pricey and up marked -- doesn't seem like much shopping gets done in this space -- and it's less so a quaint country shop vibe and more so try-hard pretentious.

The green plants are a little on the expensive side, but the flowers are very affordable, with a huge variety to choose from. The entire place is very clean and well maintained, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They're open every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The only minor downside is that the entrance is a little narrow. If you're coming from east to west, you may need to make a somewhat tight left turn into the driveway, which can feel a little tricky when there's traffic behind you. Other than that small inconvenience, this is a wonderful place. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves flowers and plants!

She literally said "I want to work here!" which is probably the highest compliment she could give. Met up with a friend here and the three of us walked all the aisles and all the sections picking up the plants that struck our fancy - from flowers, to vegetables, to ground cover, to air plants, to houseplants, to fruit trees - they've got it all! Good service, clean and organized and super reasonable prices. This is far enough for us that we won't be coming here every weekend, but certainly worth making a 1-2x year trip to stock up, learn and get inspired.

I've purchased a little spider plant and an alocasia polly, which have both been great. The employees are knowledgeable about plants and give great recommendations, especially regarding succulents. They also have a fun selection of cards and gifts by local artists, although some of the prices are a bit unreasonable (like $40 for a tiny planter pot). The coffee shop is fine, but less exciting. Most recently, I tried the Bicerin off their seasonal specials, which was a Cortado with Nutella. I thought the Nutella would be somewhat mixed in for sweetness, but it was literally just a teaspoon of Nutella in my drink. I've tried their Chaga Matcha in the past, and it was also just okay. Will return for the plants and ambiance!

The only downside was that the Pilea involucrata 'Moon Valley' I wanted was a bit too small and looked awkward in it. In general, I think the shop could have a larger plant selection (lack of selection could be a seasonal thing?). I liked a lot of the planters and option to mix and match plants in them but didn't see a lot of plants that caught my eye. I ended up going somewhere else afterwards and took home 7 plants. That said, I do think it's worth checking out. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

There are lots of plants to check out, along with interesting pots and wall containers for them. There's been a growing selection of carnivorous plants as well! Over the past few weeks I've picked up two Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plants) and a very small sundew, and I'm very happy with my purchases. They had some lovely sarracenias (North American pitcher plants) that were tempting but I didn't purchase. This year I've had a renewed interest in houseplants, especially carnivorous plants. My son and I have been trading tips and figuring out what conditions are best for each type of plant. The owner was very helpful with some advice for our fiddle leaf fig plant (in most cases the answer is more light, assuming you aren't overwatering). Once when we come in there were lots of cuttings of succulents being propagated and small sundews being grown; the shelves are full of little surprises like this. Looking forward to our next visit, since I still have room on my plant shelf for one more hanging plant!
