Such a great experience! I hosted my own even in April of 2015 and had around 30 people come and love it too! Now over 2 years later I am still attending paint nights as often as I can with Melissa and her team, my daughter too! I think we could open an art gallery by now. More recently we have enjoyed making wood pallet signs. I went to one last week at Nick and Gina's in Selden with my 6 yr old and she said "mom I love spending time with you when we come to these events", it just melted my heart and I am so happy paint party li keeps us coming back.

This was in Red Hook this year. I think it was a nicer location in some ways than Basketball City…read more However, for those who live in New Jersey, it created an extra toll to pick up your packet. The Bike Expo is a legitimate event in itself-- it's basically a big pop up shop for biking stuff. They have it during the two days before the Five Boro Bike Tour. They get people to go because you have to pick up your registration packet for the tour (how convenient for them!) But some people do just go to the expo. I actually went once a few years ago just to check it out, when I happened to be in the area. As you might suspect, it's got everything bikes in it; many of the booths were people representing bike tours. I especially enjoyed the Clif photo booth as well as the DOT Photo booth, where they gave me a very convenient flashing light armband. There were lots of great samples such as Clif products and Honey Stinger. It really does help because now I have some better ideas as to what I like (Clif gummies are good :) I got some Honey Stinger bars and I'm already kind of wishing I got more than one box. I think they were a good price and definitely a convenient snack when out on a ride. In some ways it's good to get the people who are registered for the bike tour to go to the Expo, as obviously they have some biking needs. On the other hand we just spent over $100 for the bike tour, so some people may not feel like spending more.

Like other MLS teams, average attendance has been good. Official attendance records show roughly 24,000 fans per game (80-82% capacity). Over the years, several various plans for a dedicated soccer stadium designed specifically for the team - from Manhattan to Elmont (Belmont Stakes) - have been proposed, but nothing has materialized yet. In the club's short history, Spanish striker David Villa has been, by far, the club's best and most popular player. He played for New York from 2015 to 2018 and holds the club records for most appearances (126) and goals (80). He was a forward on the Spanish national team that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup. And word is they may end up moving to Queens. Can you imagine. My fave borough and one of my least fave teams. I mean they're affiliated with Man City and play in the same colours. How disgusting. So considering I've been a fan of Red Bull NY since back when they were Metrostars... then it follows that I wouldn't love NYCFC, their rival. Of course I'm not a fan of NYCFC, who are the rich kids of the East Coast, think Galaxy but worse. They get a lot of good players piped in, and they do have a few good people behind them, but they're basically the Manchester City of North America. So not my favourite by any stretch of the imagination. Red Bull will always be the heart and the soul of the NY area football for me. These guys play at Yankee Stadium and they have been looking for a place in Queens to play, but for me the team of people from Queens is always going to be Red Bull even though they're over New Jersey. I'm so not a fan of the Manchester City Style kit or the ownership, and I'm hoping that they continue middling around and don't really go anywhere. But it's good to have a two-team New York area rivalry for sure. And it's definitely one of the classic legendary stadiums for baseball and as a baseball Arena it would get 5 stars and is second to none. As a soccer arena it gets three stars and just doesn't seem like a good home for this team or the sport, and it's no coincidence that they've been largely struggling in it. So the stadium that Ruth built is amazing and it's been renovated recently and it's just way too expensive - that's the main problem. If you live in this part of the Bronx you'd have to probably spend a week's wages just to come and see a game here. And a watery beer that is American of course, is going to cost you between 12 and $20. So forget it.

With an entry fee of $150, this high-rollers private league was started in 2010 by a football prodigy and visionary known as Prosciutto King. The league competition is moderate, with several perennial powerhouses Maximal Crazy and Thats What She Said often leading the pack into playoffs. Jean jackets has won twice, on the shoulders of Aaron Rogers, but with a history of sketchy drafting, horrible waiver wire pick ups and loading up on as many random Chicago bears as possible, we can chalk that up to dumb luck. The issue with most leagues, as well as this one, is that the level of trash talk is nowhere near the holy grail of fantasy banter, FX's The League. Plenty of wannabe leagues, but few are willing to give of themselves so deeply to achieve that level of dialogue. The CFFL has no trophy and the winner is usually forgotten by week 17. The commissioner has one of the worst all time team records so I have to applaud him on his perseverance in pursuing the impossible-to-fill-his-shoes successor to Prosciutto king, so that he may contribute to the league in some additional way besides being every team's doormat/toilet paper/2nd "bye week". Always good for a WTF moment during draft time is slutpeddlers. Humor award goes to famous titles. Silent but deadly award - dark helmet. You don't hear much from him but his team us always formidable and his remarks are poignant. Berserker is a great comedic player who knows football better than anyone but always manages to suck Last but not least is team USA, who adds his points up manually every week and will argue fractions of a decimal with the vigor of a hungry lion at peter lugers...if that lion were a liberal vegetarian hippy-minded world traveling fashion-scarf-wearing lion. Not only was the associate on their street team informative about all of the current shows, he also gave recommendations on places to eat. He was very kind and courteous and even walked me the block and a half to their office to purchase my tickets. The staff in the office were personable and helpful. The show was packed, which was cool. unfortunately, cool was not how one would describe the temperature in the room. It was boiling HOT!!! There were 3, yes 3, house fans (no AC at all) to cool off the whole crowd! Ridiculous! I made it a point to not move but the sweat was dripping down like I was in a sauna! The show itself was kind of cool, the lasers were fun but they do need a new sound person or sound equipment since the speakers often hit a frequency that, I was sure, would burst my eardrums. So all in all, if you do go pick a cooler night. (Personal opinion: not worth the 15 bucks. Except that if you reserve in advance you get tickets to eldorado bumper cars, which were A LOT of fun!)

The Richmond County stadium is super easy to get to because it's right next to the SI Ferry terminal with a good view of NY harbor and is a standard minor league park similar to the LI Ducks, Brooklyn Cyclones or Newark Bears. I always enjoy coming here. Courtesy of company sponsored tickets, we sat on the 3rd base line almost even with the bag and we had a great view. Plus the seats came with All-You-Can-Eat & Drink wristbands! We chowed down on cheeseburgers, hot dogs & chicken sandwiches, along with chips, soda & above all else, WATER! It was HOT! After the sun went down, it was a little more tolerable, and we didn't have to douse ourselves. We got there after the game started so we missed out on the free bobblehead giveaway, darn! And this year they didn't limit you to one food item at time, so we loaded up before we went to our seats. The game was none too exciting being an A club and most players were batting less than .200, but the inter-inning activities were fun, with races and free t-shirts. We ended up losing 3-2 anyway.

Every colour, style, the way the actor talk and act is all very purposeful and every little detail are well thought through, none is ever random. One of my favourite work from her is called Despair. Amazing film. The space is nice, decent sized gallery and friendly staffs. Highly recommend people to check it out!
