When the business was Garden State car wash, they were bad enough. Now it's been taken over by a new name called speeders's car wash is even worse. Their business model is a high-pressure sales tactic to upsell you to a $30 car wash no matter how many times you say no they don't listen. It's unbelievably frustrating. And even then you don't get the full car clean. The garbage can system can't seem to wash the back of the car. The front and sides look great but my trunk lid and the back bumper were still just as filthy as when I drove in ..... and when I complained about it all they said was well....What do you expect for a $12 car wash. I paid $300 to detail a new Mercedes van and when I picked it up it wasn't done and many missing areas on the exterior. Wax build up inside. They didn't wash the roof which had leaves on it after they finished. I called and spoke with Keith the owner and he hung up on me. Do not give your business to this guy. I previously used this car wash and was pleased... However, today at 10:30am 4/17/2021 I purchased their Superior "BEST DEAL" Interior/Exterior car wash for $31.00. I decided on this package for several reasons; We just arrived home last night from a weeks stay in North Carolina, OBX We traveled with (4) dogs, so there was lots of sand & fur We drove our brand new SUV I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED WITH A CAR WASH!!!! They barely vacuumed, cleaned any windows, did NOT wipe any interior surface let alone remove the bugs that were strewn across the front grill from our long drive. I was running errands and when I got out to go into my next stop I realized how awful a job it was. I had to go home to vacuum, remove sand from every cup holder, wipe the dashboard, doors and seats. I called to speak to someone only to hear their message say "if you're calling during business hours we are away from the desk, please do not leave a message because we "DO NOT RETRIEVE" messages. Worst car wash ever On July 21 I visited the car wash to have my truck washed once it came out the truck was still dirty inside and out after paying for the most expensive wash offered not only was the truck still filthy but two of my wheels were damaged from the track I gave them the opportunity to make matters right however they would not assume responsibility for the damage to my vehicle I was told they would have to check the cameras they informed me that there was previous damage to my wheels and there proof was a picture of my truck already on the track how was it previously damaged when the track is what damaged the wheel and the picture your using to tell me the wheel was damaged is while the truck is already on the track makes no sense to me and management is very unprofessional I'll be filing a police report and contacting there insurance directly. read more

I have been to this car wash a couple times and I'm consistently dissapointed with the service. I paid about $32 for their premium car wash today and with five people working on my car since I got there early, they did a subpar job. There were still water spots on my car and they barely cleaned the inside. There's still dirt on the side of the door that I had to wipe. I find these workers extremely lazy and something needs to be done about it. Not to mention... There's snacks inside for kids are way overpriced and now they have claw machine for toys that's three dollars that are you kidding me?? Ridiculous. read more

Not a fan of the automatic selection system. I brought my car for a wash & wax after vacation. I paid for highest tier available & asked the girl when I pulled up if that included the back. She said yes. As they were cleaning the inside I went inside to but a new air freshener. I came out, put $20 in the tip box because the car was used at the beach for a week & I knew it needed some extra TLC. I purposely looked at the front & there were still big guts all over. I had to ask the girl 3x to clean it better. She had no idea what I was talking about. At that point I was annoyed & just left. I went grocery shopping & was so ticked off because they didn't clean the back at all. I didn't bother going back because they couldn't understand me the first time. The "manager" refused to give me insurance information also refused to let me view the camera footage they said they had. He clearly was going the route of "well your lights are aftermarket, so that wont be covered". . . Yeah, well how about my mirrors and bumper? I actually had to call the cops. As I was dialing the police, the manager also told me that if the cops were involved I wouldn't be allowed on the premises again (as if I would use them again) and insurance wouldn't cover it. I went to have my truck washed in the beginning of February. I had some dirt in wheel wells from job site on the road. The attendant talked me into the monthly club deal so I figured I'd try it. I went through wash and denied vacuum service because I had a lot of stuff inside. Once home I took a look and still had dirt in wheel wells so I went back and they had me go through wash again. Once home same results so I hosed the wells out. I cleaned inside of truck so it could be vacuumed and went back the next week. They gave me a colored dot on my windshield which told vacuum crew not to do it. So I went back either the 28 or 29 of February for a complete cleaning and to cancel service. I told the attendant I wanted to cancel and he just said OK. March 8 I checked my credit account I didn't see a charge so I thought Garden State Car wash cancelled like I requested. Now last week April 11 I noticed a $46.86 charge from Garden State Car wash so I check my previous month and another charge $46.86 was dated March 12. So I called them and I was told to come in so I did that afternoon. I spoke to a young lady she stated records show the 2 payments and that I have not used their service since February. She told me she had to talk to a manager and they would call & let me know. Tuesday the 16 I still didn't hear from a manager so I called and spoke to another lady Rita I think her name was. She stated she had to talk to a manager but likely I'll get a gift card I told her I was not impressed with their service and I don't need $94 worth of air fresheners. Now more than 24 hours from my second call I still haven't heard from a manager. Very disappointed and upset. How can they charge me for a service I didn't use?? read more

They were so nice to give me a free and top of the line wash for the tiniest of inconvenience. I have come here a bunch of times since new ownership and love how friendly they are. Don't bother coming to the car wash. Not only did they raise their prices but their work is so much worse than what it used to be. When you have to pull over and vacuum your own car after they vacuumed it and wipe it down because they didn't clean the interior, there's a huge problem. Do not understand why this place doesn't have better reviews! I got my accord detailed here back in September and now my Kia just got washed. They definitely care about doing a good job and making people happy. After my Kia got washed I thought it was dirty because of some scratches on the side that I didn't realize were actually scratches (i thought they just missed a spot) and I spoke to the detail guy and he explained to me that now that my car was clean they were just visible now. But he still buffed them out for me free of charge(even though it most likely had nothing to do with their car wash) and now my car looks beautiful! Positives: Receptionist was extremely outgoing and helpful, the exterior of my car was decently clean. Paid $28- inside of my car was NOT wiped down. Dust everywhere, dirt everywhere, and they did not vacuum the seats. I had to drive back to the self serve vacuums and do it myself. Nice staff, unfortunately the car wash scratches my car. I showed the scratches to them and they kept saying it was impossible for the car wash to scratch a car because they use foam and not brushes. Foam applied with force and speed can scratch and it did. Needless to say they did a detail free of charge to remove the scratches. So I thought maybe scratches were a fluke and went thru the car wash again, sure enough the same exact scratches came back and again they said no way was it the car wash. Got the car detailed again (they left wax all over the molding - very hard to get out. Since I have stopped going to them the scratches have not reappeared once. I have never heard of a car wash that doesn't clean the seats inside of a vehicle. We paid $24 to come home and clean our own seats and console. Mats weren't even cleaned properly. Console still covered with coffee and stains. Let me add the trunk was supposed to be vacuumed and there was still remnants of sand and lint everywhere. Looked the same as when we brought it. This review is for the Automatic Car Wash. They also have a detailing service which I did not use. I used the exterior only "Silver Option" which cost $10.00 plus tax and tip. This includes wash, underside wash and some sort of "Clear Coat Protection" (no wax). Machine did a good job washing a large amount of road salt left over from a New Years trip to New England last weekend. Other car washes I have used did not do as good a job with similar New England salty road dirt on my other cars. Staff towel dried the outside of the car but did not do the roof (tall vehicle and staff could not reach it I guess). Car came out clean without any scratches or other damage to finish. Overall I am very happy with the results and will use them again. read more

Several packages available from low end exterior only washes or basic washes to high end full detail with waxes and polish. Very nice to have a lot of choices to pick from compared to most car washes in the area. After getting the car washed they lead your car into the area for vacuum and hand drying the car depending on your services. I have been going to this car wash for about 10 years. The service has drastically gone down hill. I went in for a interior and exterior wash on Saturday. There was no line so I went right in. After my exterior wash, I drove over to have my interior cleaned. I opted for the middle package that was about $24. The package is supposed to include interior dusting/wiping and vacuuming. The inside of my car was barley wiped or vacuumed. It was a total waste of time and money. I would be more understanding if it was a super busy day and they were rushing. I will never return to this car wash and do not recommend it to anyone with any type of expectation. read more

I have paid less money for better car washes. I paid for their "best" car wash and when I got home there was still bird poop on my car that did not come off in the car wash or the hand dry. I also asked one of the hand driers if he could possibly get a few rub marks off my car. He got half of one mark off and then told me that's all he could do. I went home and used a towel and some windex and they came right off. When I paid for their "best" car wash I was expecting the best and I do not feel that I received the best they could do. Great wash and a very reasonable price. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Exterior is 100% clean including tires and rims and hand dried as "good as new". The interior - windows cleaned, floor mats and a very good vacuum as well as the dashboard and all interior door panels. Signed up for the monthly pass and added the wife's car! I've lived in Middletown for 5 years and none of the car washes have a very good reputation so I figured I might as well try this place because it was new to the area. The wash you go through really seemed like it did a great job but I was really there because the inside of my car was a mess. When the guys said they were done I was REALLY impressed with how beautiful the inside of my car was. It looked exactly as it did the day I drove it off the car lot! I opted not to get an air freshener because it still has that new car smell but whatever products they use to clean the car had a really nice scent - almost like strawberry - so that was a nice surprise being that I opted out of an air freshener. I only recently discovered this car wash. So far, I have been there twice. Considering the reasonable cost, I was surprised at the quality of the wash and service.The vacuuming was very thorough and included vacuuming the trunk. Each time the staff, who hand dried the car, also placed a towel on the ground outside of the driver's side door for purposes of wiping your feet before getting into to your clean car. I thought that was a nice touch. On this last trip, when I got back into my car, I was VERY surprised to see a five dollar bill in my drink holder. It took me a while to figure out that the staff member who was cleaning the inside of my car, found the money and put it in my drink holder. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of honesty. I would never had know that there was $5 MIA in my car. It was only $5, but it was the act of honesty that sealed the deal for me! I got a nice clean car, inside and out and found money! Overpriced and did not do a good job. Paid $28 for the gold wash, their premier wash. They did not clean around the door frames which was no big deal. However when I got home I looked at the roof and it was completely filthy. My car is a Toyota FJ Cruiser and it has a roof rack. The roof rack does not cover the entire roof and even the part that was not under the roof rack was filthy. They cleaned the mats but under the mats was left dirty. I always took the car to this car wash before it changed ownership and they hand washed all my cars. They used a ladder to reach the roof and the cost was the same. I believe that a full exterior and interior should include the roof and the floor under the mats. Very disappointing. read more
