This review is for the Automatic Car Wash. They also have a detailing service which I did not use. I used the exterior only "Silver Option" which cost $10.00 plus tax and tip. This includes wash, underside wash and some sort of "Clear Coat Protection" (no wax). Machine did a good job washing a large amount of road salt left over from a New Years trip to New England last weekend. Other car washes I have used did not do as good a job with similar New England salty road dirt on my other cars. Staff towel dried the outside of the car but did not do the roof (tall vehicle and staff could not reach it I guess). Car came out clean without any scratches or other damage to finish. Overall I am very happy with the results and will use them again. read more

When the business was Garden State car wash, they were bad enough. Now it's been taken over by a new name called speeders's car wash is even worse. Their business model is a high-pressure sales tactic to upsell you to a $30 car wash no matter how many times you say no they don't listen. It's unbelievably frustrating. And even then you don't get the full car clean. The garbage can system can't seem to wash the back of the car. The front and sides look great but my trunk lid and the back bumper were still just as filthy as when I drove in ..... and when I complained about it all they said was well....What do you expect for a $12 car wash. Maybe to get my money back! It's a rat hole full of thieves. read more

I paid $300 to detail a new Mercedes van and when I picked it up it wasn't done and many missing areas on the exterior. Wax build up inside. They didn't wash the roof which had leaves on it after they finished. I called and spoke with Keith the owner and he hung up on me. Do not give your business to this guy. Even his worker said they couldn't finish since the owner kept pulling him on to different jobs! Extremely disappointed with the owner:( he just has excuses. Not to be trusted. Fast talker, no action. read more

I previously used this car wash and was pleased... However, today at 10:30am 4/17/2021 I purchased their Superior "BEST DEAL" Interior/Exterior car wash for $31.00. I decided on this package for several reasons; We just arrived home last night from a weeks stay in North Carolina, OBX We traveled with (4) dogs, so there was lots of sand & fur We drove our brand new SUV I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED WITH A CAR WASH!!!! They barely vacuumed, cleaned any windows, did NOT wipe any interior surface let alone remove the bugs that were strewn across the front grill from our long drive. I was running errands and when I got out to go into my next stop I realized how awful a job it was. I had to go home to vacuum, remove sand from every cup holder, wipe the dashboard, doors and seats. I called to speak to someone only to hear their message say "if you're calling during business hours we are away from the desk, please do not leave a message because we "DO NOT RETRIEVE" messages. It than proceeds to say if you need to contact us keep calling.... WHAT! I am angry that a business completely lacks any customer service. read more

Worst car wash ever On July 21 I visited the car wash to have my truck washed once it came out the truck was still dirty inside and out after paying for the most expensive wash offered not only was the truck still filthy but two of my wheels were damaged from the track I gave them the opportunity to make matters right however they would not assume responsibility for the damage to my vehicle I was told they would have to check the cameras they informed me that there was previous damage to my wheels and there proof was a picture of my truck already on the track how was it previously damaged when the track is what damaged the wheel and the picture your using to tell me the wheel was damaged is while the truck is already on the track makes no sense to me and management is very unprofessional I'll be filing a police report and contacting there insurance directly. read more

Not a fan of the automatic selection system. I brought my car for a wash & wax after vacation. I paid for highest tier available & asked the girl when I pulled up if that included the back. She said yes. As they were cleaning the inside I went inside to but a new air freshener. I came out, put $20 in the tip box because the car was used at the beach for a week & I knew it needed some extra TLC. I purposely looked at the front & there were still big guts all over. I had to ask the girl 3x to clean it better. She had no idea what I was talking about. At that point I was annoyed & just left. I went grocery shopping & was so ticked off because they didn't clean the back at all. I didn't bother going back because they couldn't understand me the first time. I've been going there for years, not the same with new management or possibly owners. Will go elsewhere from now on. Almost $60 wasted. read more

Garden State Car Wash - The back they supposedly cleaned. - Car Wash Near Me - Middletown, New Jersey

I have been to this car wash a couple times and I'm consistently dissapointed with the service. I paid about $32 for their premium car wash today and with five people working on my car since I got there early, they did a subpar job. There were still water spots on my car and they barely cleaned the inside. There's still dirt on the side of the door that I had to wipe. I find these workers extremely lazy and something needs to be done about it. Not to mention... There's snacks inside for kids are way overpriced and now they have claw machine for toys that's three dollars that are you kidding me?? Ridiculous. read more

My car was found with numerous scratches when I was leaving work, so I brought it here for an estimate. They were able to talk me through the process of the exterior detail. They were able to get all of the scratches out, and my car looks brand new. Would definitely recommend this service, and the helpful and pleasant staff. Thanks very much! read more

The workers don't dry the car good at all. You drive away and the water is all over your car leaving water marks everywhere. It makes the car wash almost pointless. They don't care. read more

got hung up inside the carwash. I clearly heard something snap. It was my driver side mirror and offroad lights on top! completely ripped off!! The "manager" refused to give me insurance information also refused to let me view the camera footage they said they had. He clearly was going the route of "well your lights are aftermarket, so that wont be covered". . . Yeah, well how about my mirrors and bumper? I actually had to call the cops. As I was dialing the police, the manager also told me that if the cops were involved I wouldn't be allowed on the premises again (as if I would use them again) and insurance wouldn't cover it. Wait....what? When they damage your vehicle, expect them to be shady about it. read more

Used to be the best car wash around. Had an exterior wash done. It was supposed to be a towel dry. Numerous spots were not dried. I pointed it out to the employee but she did not understand what I was saying. They used to clean with enthusiasm but not anymore. read more

If you want to spend $23 for a "gold" car wash where they basically leave your car a mess inside and out, this is your place. Exterior wash was mediocre and left debris and dirt. Interior cleaning was basically non-existent. The pictures speak for themselves. read more

Only giving them two because the exterior car wash was decent. Pissed off to the extreme please look at the before and after pictures !! I paid the highest price 28$ + tax so about 30$ for a car was with a deluxe interior detail. Such bullshit. The inside of my car doesn't even look touched and I watched them to Inside the car so I'm a bit confused. Granted my car was a hot mess from taking my dogs to the park but I expected much better for the amount I payed of my hard earned money. I will never recommend this place to any of my friends or family. read more

I went to have my truck washed in the beginning of February. I had some dirt in wheel wells from job site on the road. The attendant talked me into the monthly club deal so I figured I'd try it. I went through wash and denied vacuum service because I had a lot of stuff inside. Once home I took a look and still had dirt in wheel wells so I went back and they had me go through wash again. Once home same results so I hosed the wells out. I cleaned inside of truck so it could be vacuumed and went back the next week. They gave me a colored dot on my windshield which told vacuum crew not to do it. So I went back either the 28 or 29 of February for a complete cleaning and to cancel service. I told the attendant I wanted to cancel and he just said OK. March 8 I checked my credit account I didn't see a charge so I thought Garden State Car wash cancelled like I requested. Now last week April 11 I noticed a $46.86 charge from Garden State Car wash so I check my previous month and another charge $46.86 was dated March 12. So I called them and I was told to come in so I did that afternoon. I spoke to a young lady she stated records show the 2 payments and that I have not used their service since February. She told me she had to talk to a manager and they would call & let me know. Tuesday the 16 I still didn't hear from a manager so I called and spoke to another lady Rita I think her name was. She stated she had to talk to a manager but likely I'll get a gift card I told her I was not impressed with their service and I don't need $94 worth of air fresheners. Now more than 24 hours from my second call I still haven't heard from a manager. Very disappointed and upset. How can they charge me for a service I didn't use?? read more

You know this place is doing something right when it's packed on a weekday morning! Came to get a quick wash. The pay machines were broken so I wanted to pay at the entrance. They were so nice to give me a free and top of the line wash for the tiniest of inconvenience. I have come here a bunch of times since new ownership and love how friendly they are. I like having the free vacuums accessible when my outside is sparkly clean. Great small business!! read more

Don't bother coming to the car wash. Not only did they raise their prices but their work is so much worse than what it used to be. When you have to pull over and vacuum your own car after they vacuumed it and wipe it down because they didn't clean the interior, there's a huge problem. No apology from the people that were there. read more

Good price compared to NC. $10 and a hand dry exterior wash! only issue is that the machine shut down for me mid way through and there was a line around the building read more

Do not understand why this place doesn't have better reviews! I got my accord detailed here back in September and now my Kia just got washed. They definitely care about doing a good job and making people happy. After my Kia got washed I thought it was dirty because of some scratches on the side that I didn't realize were actually scratches (i thought they just missed a spot) and I spoke to the detail guy and he explained to me that now that my car was clean they were just visible now. But he still buffed them out for me free of charge(even though it most likely had nothing to do with their car wash) and now my car looks beautiful! Honestly they're a nice group of people with great customer service! Definitely go here! read more

Went on Saturday, April 24. Paid $27.11 (incl tax) + $6 tip in the box outside. The outside was cleaned and the result was nice. But what they said they do in the Gold package was an absolute waste. The inside of the car was barely touched and cleaning the front mats was pretty much a joke. I went there because there was no waiting unlike the other car washes that had lines today. I should have known that was a sign. read more

Positives: Receptionist was extremely outgoing and helpful, the exterior of my car was decently clean. Paid $28- inside of my car was NOT wiped down. Dust everywhere, dirt everywhere, and they did not vacuum the seats. I had to drive back to the self serve vacuums and do it myself. After paying almost $30, I ended up cleaning the entire inside myself. I did not want to go back to the sweet girl inside and complain to her, after she was so nice and helpful. Very disappointed!!!! read more

I just moved to New Jersey from NYC and I tried this car wash today. I was treated so well that I am sure I will use this car wash again. My car was cleaned in a state of the art facility and everyone there were accommodating and more than pleasant. The prices are great and they have a monthly unlimited wash service for something like 20.00 a month. I highly recommend this car wash to anyone living nearby. read more

Nice staff, unfortunately the car wash scratches my car. I showed the scratches to them and they kept saying it was impossible for the car wash to scratch a car because they use foam and not brushes. Foam applied with force and speed can scratch and it did. Needless to say they did a detail free of charge to remove the scratches. So I thought maybe scratches were a fluke and went thru the car wash again, sure enough the same exact scratches came back and again they said no way was it the car wash. Got the car detailed again (they left wax all over the molding - very hard to get out. Since I have stopped going to them the scratches have not reappeared once. Don't believe the hype about foam not scratching. If you care about your auto stick to hand car washes read more

First and last...the inside of my car after their Gold looks no different that before I went in. I assume the vacuums have not suction because I watched them. What a joke. Forced to leave one star read more

I have never heard of a car wash that doesn't clean the seats inside of a vehicle. We paid $24 to come home and clean our own seats and console. Mats weren't even cleaned properly. Console still covered with coffee and stains. Let me add the trunk was supposed to be vacuumed and there was still remnants of sand and lint everywhere. Looked the same as when we brought it. Super disappointed. Will never return here - what a ripoff! read more

Great service very quick pace getting through the wash itself with no issues. Several packages available from low end exterior only washes or basic washes to high end full detail with waxes and polish. Very nice to have a lot of choices to pick from compared to most car washes in the area. After getting the car washed they lead your car into the area for vacuum and hand drying the car depending on your services. Staff is very friendly and hardworking to ensure every car is cleaned up nice. Would recommend this car wash compared to the others in red bank or further out in Middletown for quality ! read more

I just bought a 2019 Toyota rav 4. My objective is to keep it clean and always looking prestige. I am never dissatisfied with the wash I always get at Garden State Car Wash. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is so friendly as well. I highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. read more

I have been going to this car wash for about 10 years. The service has drastically gone down hill. I went in for a interior and exterior wash on Saturday. There was no line so I went right in. After my exterior wash, I drove over to have my interior cleaned. I opted for the middle package that was about $24. The package is supposed to include interior dusting/wiping and vacuuming. The inside of my car was barley wiped or vacuumed. It was a total waste of time and money. I would be more understanding if it was a super busy day and they were rushing. I will never return to this car wash and do not recommend it to anyone with any type of expectation. read more

Great wash and a very reasonable price. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Exterior is 100% clean including tires and rims and hand dried as "good as new". The interior - windows cleaned, floor mats and a very good vacuum as well as the dashboard and all interior door panels. Signed up for the monthly pass and added the wife's car! This is the BEST in NJ. Their State if the Art Oil Change garage is equally as good and you get a free car wash. read more

This was my first experience ever going to a car wash. I've lived in Middletown for 5 years and none of the car washes have a very good reputation so I figured I might as well try this place because it was new to the area. The wash you go through really seemed like it did a great job but I was really there because the inside of my car was a mess. When the guys said they were done I was REALLY impressed with how beautiful the inside of my car was. It looked exactly as it did the day I drove it off the car lot! I opted not to get an air freshener because it still has that new car smell but whatever products they use to clean the car had a really nice scent - almost like strawberry - so that was a nice surprise being that I opted out of an air freshener. I will definitely be back the next time I need a wash. read more

I have paid less money for better car washes. I paid for their "best" car wash and when I got home there was still bird poop on my car that did not come off in the car wash or the hand dry. I also asked one of the hand driers if he could possibly get a few rub marks off my car. He got half of one mark off and then told me that's all he could do. I went home and used a towel and some windex and they came right off. When I paid for their "best" car wash I was expecting the best and I do not feel that I received the best they could do. I gave 2 stars only because they did a good job at vacuuming the inside. read more

Great car wash with excellent service! I paid for a gold interior and exterior wash, but they accidentally hit the silver button for the wash. The owner noticed right away and after my car went through, they gave me a high quality hand applied wax job, free of charge. The interior cleaners are very thorough and fast. I come here a lot and have to say it's the best wash in the area, waaaayyy better than country sudser. And Wednesday is ladies day, 25% off! read more

This place is horrible. The reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is bc the people that work here are very nice. But the work they do is horrible. This is the second time I've come here and the second time they did a horrible job. I just wanted my car scrubbed inside and rugs cleaned and they were going to charge me 100+. I get a better clean at Blue Wave for half the price. read more

Overpriced and did not do a good job. Paid $28 for the gold wash, their premier wash. They did not clean around the door frames which was no big deal. However when I got home I looked at the roof and it was completely filthy. My car is a Toyota FJ Cruiser and it has a roof rack. The roof rack does not cover the entire roof and even the part that was not under the roof rack was filthy. They cleaned the mats but under the mats was left dirty. I always took the car to this car wash before it changed ownership and they hand washed all my cars. They used a ladder to reach the roof and the cost was the same. I believe that a full exterior and interior should include the roof and the floor under the mats. Very disappointing. read more
