They did not add an expansion joint between the coping stones and the pool deck for expanding and shrinking (who knew concrete did this, I didn't). We have talked to two pool companies and this is supposedly common practice. Last winter it wasn't cold enough for the concrete to expand and contract as much as it did this year. In January the concrete expanded & pulled back away from the coping stones causing them to rise like in the picture. They broke, separated from the tile & even caused such a shift in the skimmer that it cracked. The Los Pumas owner has refused to return our phone calls or come see the damage. They also poured and entire new driveway for us 3 years ago-we have been loyal customers, recommending them to a lot of people in our neighborhood. However, they are not going to show up if you have a problem, they do not stand behind their work and have not been willing to work with us to resolve the issue they caused. The true character of a person or company is revealed when a problem arises. Los Pumas is of low character and will not help if there is an issue. Stay away from them...there are other repairable companies out there!

Initially, we just wanted a wood stove inserted into the "hole" where the old fireplace was. He kindly explained that this wasn't possible without dropping out the prefab FP, along with cutting out stone for proper clearance. Fast forward, Elias found that we had an old chimney to the left side of the unit that spanned from basement to third floor and out the roof. Long story short: in order to make this happen, we had to demolish the entire unit. We chose our stove and the flooring. Next appointment was demolition! Walks in Ben! This guy was the real deal! He was professional and courteous, but what we admired most was that he was honest! This wasn't the usual slam dunk job. Our house was built in 1980. Once demolished, we found all kinds of issues that needed addressing. The builder cut up the hardwood floor to meet the old FP, so there were odd gaps, the old side chimney was in the way! At first, Ben built out too far. We weren't happy. No worries! He came back, removed the frame and backing and built tightly around the chimney column. Throughout the entire process, they made certain all work was done to code! The initial quote never changed, even though wrenches were thrown in. The calamity that struck my house was the hail storm. It came with little warning and it was as disconcerting as it was brief as it was violent. When it was over, my screens were shredded and I had some paint damage. Seeing as that was all I could tell with my naked eye, I left it alone and kept it moving. That's when I noticed my neighbors getting roof assessments. I didn't want the headache so I tried to avoid it. But adulting doesn't let you skip out on the unpleasant things so I dove in to seeing what was what. Checking the Jelps, I found Bill Ragan and through Bill Ragan I found Chris. Chris was awesome. He walked me through what I could see and couldn't see. He had ladders, photos and information. He let me see that I sustained damage and needed a fix. When he gave me an estimated cost, I thought, 'I'm just gonna have to let this ride.' That's when he told me that insurance should cover it. Armed with that knowledge, I had an assessor come to the house. I was denied. Chris didn't let that be the end of the story. He convinced me to get an assessor second opinion. This time, he would be at my house when it happened. It did. He was. And I was approved for a new roof. The insurance company cut the check and I was on my way to a secured house cover. If I stopped the review here, it's an easy 5 stars. Chris was/is incredible. Unfortunately, Chris doesn't work on roofs. The crew came out (with Chris to introduce me to them and let me know what to expect) and they didn't share much of his ease, kindness or professionalism. They were unpleasant at best, rude at worst. A gentleman smoked a cigarette while he worked on my roof. The foreman was dismissive and unhelpful when I had questions. I texted Chris, who apologized, came on site and got the folks together but that wasn't his job. The job took two days and the install has held together fine (and the roof looks good). But being treated like trash in my own home is not something I take lightly. The crew did the work in mid-Fall. Thanks to climate change, it was still pretty warm out. Even so, I was preparing for my fall HVAC cleaning when I noticed a gap in the ceiling of my upstairs unit (in the attic). Not only that, connective piping from the unit had come undone in the roof work. I had a HVAC tech come out to fix the problem. He did so and showed me a few other pipe disconnections and gave me a horror story about carbon monoxide poisoning had I run the unit with the gaps and disconnections. Nightmare fuel. I texted the foreman. He went from unbothered to unresponsive. I went back to Chris who asked for photos, came out to inspect and brought Bill into the situation. Bill came out to my house, asked about what happened, listened, doubled checked the work (roof and HVAC) and covered the cost of repair. I appreciated that. And I appreciated Chris. But neither Bill nor Chris should have had to clean up a mess they didn't make.

They installed an irrigation system about two years ago. THEY DID A TERRIBLE JOB.!! They ruptured a…read moregas line using a regular shovel, they ripped up the internet cable causing the whole neighbor to be with out internet for 2 weeks. They were told not to install any heads in the right of way. They did and then they removed it. The overall sales person (RICK HARRISON) who I directly designed my system with, did not communicate to the installation team the type of sprinklers I wanted and where to install the back flow valve. They also had to install a pressure pump, due to low pressure for $1400.00. I specifically told Rick where it needed to be in relation to the electric outlet . I had the outlet installed exactly where Rick said it had to be. I then spent $200.00 to have an electrical outlet installed. When I checked their work after they left. I found an orange extension cord lying on the ground, in a pool of water ,connected to my $200.00 outlet, they installed the pump to far away from the outlet. I again had to pay another $200.00 to move the outlet so the pump can connect directly to the outlet. Then the pump cracked and stop working, the back check valve cracked and had to be replaced. this is after I had them winterize my system. It has been nightmare of a project. Everytime they came out, something was wrong. I finally had to ban them from my property. it is now several years later and the system is worse than ever. I have spent a lot of money in repairs. I basically will have rebuilt the system by the end of this year. Do not use this company. Beware of Rick because he is smooth but does not follow through.Get everything in writing, get a design of your sprinkler System before they install (they want a $150.00 to do so)
