Mixed feelings about this store. It's very clean and well organized, it's kind of got the vibe of a…read moresmall version of clothes mentor if you've ever been to that chain. The selection is pretty good and fairly fashionable/current but the prices are a bit high for a second hand store. There are little sections of what appears to be handmade jewelry around the store which is really pretty. The thing that turned me off most to this store was the sign in the dressing room yelling at the customer to put back the clothes they try on. What? What self respecting store does that? It's just pure laziness. I don't think even gold mine forces their customers to put their clothes back on the rack and they're a charity and volunteer run! You're also greeted by a "no public bathroom" sign before you even step in the door which just makes it seem really unwelcoming. If I was the owners/workers (listen up guys!) I would take down that sign and if anyone asks for a bathroom then you say "sorry we don't have one, but there's one down the block in front of park side deli". That way you're being helpful and not accusatory. As for the dressing room sign, come on. I get it it can get busy but you're asking your customers to do your job for you. If you really can't for whatever reason find yourself to put the clothes back, a sign hat says "In this busy summer season, it would be very helpful to us if you could return clothes to where you found them after trying them on. Thank you :)"

I want to begin this by prefacing that I am a part of the generation of online shoppers and have…read morebeen raised predominantly in larger cities with more "big business" and while all of this is becoming more and more common place it also comes with a general lack of sincere customer service. While visiting in the summer I found a mug that I loved, but was going to think about purchasing it until I made my trip during the fall. When I arrived in the fall I was sad to realize that the mug I had my heart set on was no longer in the store and upon asking at the checkout desk I was told that I would be emailed if it were to come back into stock. After two months of no further communication I received an email from Janet stating that they had received the exact mug that I wanted and they were able to ship it the next day. I think we can all agree that 2020 is its own special mess and any other year I might have written this interaction off as "making a sale", but to know that they cared enough to remember this small interaction, organized enough to keep my information after two months, and overall exemplify the best customer service I've experienced in a long time is something that I consider to be worth praise. Thank you all at NorthGoods! See you all next summer.
