As he was a loyalist prior to the American Revolution, he abandoned the house in 1774 and fled from Boston. The house was confiscated by American forces initially as a headquarters and later as a hospital. Today, the house has been carefully preserved. The grounds are open to the public and the interior is used for hosting events. As I was just passing through Jamaica Plain, I did not have an opportunity to attend an event. But the outside is lovely and worth a look to see what homes might have been like a few hundred years ago. The US doesn't have much history, but there's some here for sure.

Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

The wine by the glass was also extremely expensive. My wife ordered the chicken Milanese. The salad and sauce served with it were quite good, but unfortunately the chicken cutlet itself was very dry. For dessert, we decided to try the butterscotch pudding. It could not have been more uneventful. The pudding had virtually no discernible butterscotch flavor--or much flavor at all--and what appeared to be canned whipped cream did nothing to improve it.
