While FCI is a franchised business, Marty is the owner / operator of this location - he clearly takes great pride in his business and it shows with his patience, attention to detail, and great communication. After reaching out, Marty was quick to respond and work with me to find a time to come out and give us a quote and show us samples. He arrived on time and walked us through the process and estimate. He had a wide variety of high quality carpet options and was patient while we looked at various choices. There was no pressure to make a decision that day, but we reached out a few days after to confirm our choice and book an install date. He texted me with a reminder a few days out from the install, and he and his team showed up on time. Within a few hours, the carpet was beautifully installed. We had considered doing this project ourselves, but it's clear that we would not have been able to achieve the level of craftsmanship of Marty's team. This was a relatively inexpensive home upgrade and has greatly improved the safety of our stairs, as well as helping with echoing and sound (especially for our dogs going up and down). Highly recommend using Marty and his team if you're looking to add a stair runner to your home.

I hired Greg to renovate a half bath that had a toilet that leaked, damaging the sub floor and…read morehardwoods in the hall. The first red flag was Greg's cartoonish quote for work. Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. Some background: Our house is 18 years old, we've lived in it for 7 years, & are the 3rd owners. We noticed that our A/C vent covers looked really bad (dirty). I removed the covers & was disgusted by what I saw...gross dirt & dust buildup & the air ducts had layers upon layers of thick dirt (similar to a laundry dryer vent on its worse day!). I decided to research air duct cleaners on Yelp & Google reviews. Sam of My Man Air Duct Cleaning promptly returned my call & listened to my concerns. I felt so comfortable speaking with him on the phone (no sales pitches, no trying to sell me other products, no BS), and I booked an appt with him on the spot. When he showed up, he was wearing a mask & was ready to get to work. He provided an extremely thorough cleaning...even showing me the gross buildup lodged in my vents. Based on the dirt (& other random items left behind by the previous owners), it was obvious that the air ducts have NEVER been cleaned & my house was truly a health hazard. Thank you, Sam. You literally saved my family's respiratory system.
