Gap - Children's Clothing Near Me - Bridgewater, New Jersey

This Gap (Factory) was luckily nearby when I desperately needed to make a return from an online order. The process was quick and easy and for that I am grateful! After taking a look around the store, it really isn't the Gap I remember from years ago when it was a major staple in my closet. The clothes seemed so cheap and really not made to last. I made a big online order thinking I was stocking up on some basics but ended up returning about 80% of the order because even at the massive discounts I managed to get, they were just not worth it. Super sad about it because I really do still have some Gap sweaters that I mom wore like 30 years ago, but I guess that is a thing of the past. I do have to say, this store seemed nice and clean, tidy and the staff was super helpful in processing my return. read more

Gap is now in the disposable clothing business and for this longtime customer things are teetering on irredeemable. I have sweaters and overcoats from this casual clothier that are probably older than half the readers of this review. Other more recent purchases are now nothing but threadbare imposters buffing my car. This mall stalwart was born in the heyday of Hendrix and now, from a quality and cultural relevance standpoint, is barely Muzak. This store in particular is a boring mess, with inventory strewn and disheveled. At this point in my life, I refuse to pick through the detritus for jeans. Gap is not doing well and by all appearances their troubles are self-inflicted. Barely two stars. read more

Customer service really lacks in this store. Maybe it was an off day, but I spent maybe 40-45 minutes in there and no one greeted me. After standing around in the fitting room trying each locked door to see if any were open, I was eventually asked if I was in need of a room. No one asked if I was okay with sizes, even when I stepped out of my room to find the larger 3-way mirror in the public area of the fitting room. Instead I was asked by another sales associate if the room I was using was indeed mine. It looked as if she was interested in clearing out the room. The gentleman that rang up my items was the first to ask me if I found everything that I was looking for. The store was well-kept. Not too many customers inside for a Friday afternoon. I like the Gap as a brand and I've had some better experiences in this store, so this review gets 3 stars. read more

We buy a ton of our sons clothing here and since it re-opened post Covid, their inventory is awful. Shipping takes awhile now too so I would prefer to just go in the store as it is close to where we live but I come out empty handed a lot of times. I'm not sure what the issue is but they really need to get clothes stocked in their kids sections. read more

All the GAP you can possibly want is right here in the Somerville Circle strip mall: men's clothes, women's clothes, underwear (Gap Body), children's clothes (Gap Kids), baby clothes (Gap Baby) and if that's not enough for you, you can even get pregnant woman's clothes (Gap Maternity)! The store is very large but each individual section is modestly sized. The selection was still pretty good, altho I'm no expert :). The day I visited the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they made shopping for some summer clothes almost easy. Remember when it was "The Gap" and they sold levis? No? Ah, I'm showing my age again, get off my lawn :) :) read more

Terrible management. Drew Mitchell was extremely rude. I returned a gift that was not the right size. The cashier without asking applied the credit back to the original purchase and when I told him that I did not approve this proceeded to yell at me and the next person in line that was sticking up for me. During the purchase process they told my daughter to approve on behalf since she was closer to the machine and because of that they money was sent to the wrong person and could not be undone. This is unacceptable. read more

Every time I go into this Gap, they never have any sizes that a normal human might wear. Apparently they think that being "well stocked" means putting out three pairs of whatever it is you're looking for. If you're built like their mannequins (tall, thin, gorgeous), you might be okay. There's never anyone around either. I shop at the Gap all the time and I know that they aren't usually this poorly run. read more

Wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing anything at this Gap in Bridgewater- it may seem like the terrible customer service won't matter...but then I found out that the store doesn't bother to post final sale signs, or mark my receipt as final sale- and then get hostile when I tried to return an unopened item. Shawn the manager was flat out rude- he didn't bother to be pleasant. It's obvious the employees really don't care about customers and given the poor quality and boring appearance of the clothing, Gap appears to have given up as well. read more

Very poor customer service and rude staff. The sales person (a middle aged woman) was not helpful at all and was irritated when we asked for assistance at the register- she had a nasty attitude from the moment we entered the store. It was not a busy day by any means. I did not enjoy my shopping experience there at all and don't think I would go back. I gave two stars only because I do like Gap- just not this location. read more

i rely on gap for updates to my work wardrobe, because simply put: their pants suit me. i like the color palette they have and there is an adequate selection at this location of casual and work wear. they have a babygap next door, and a gapbody as well. read more

Consistently one of the worst customer service experiences of any retailer. Never greeted upon entering the store, employees that completely ignore you while snacking and carrying on their own conversations with each other, zero knowledge about merchandise (what's on sale, how it's supposed to fit etc), employees act like you are bothering them when asking questions. Horrible! Even when I've seen something cute I've often not bought it just because the employees are so abysmal! read more
