If it does't open, don't give up, keep pushing :) The lady sitting there in the evenings is very friendly and helpful, ready to explain about several treatments they have. I've learned that she is not the owner though. The local itself is not fresh fresh but fresh enough to be comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no changing room, not critical for saltroom itself but I think about yoga for example, still good enough to give them a 5. They have two rooms, salt & ljus room, with different types of services, yoga & massage in salt room,.... Saturday mornings they have a special event for children in the salt room. I've just used the salt room and I am very satisfied. They are open on Saturdays and until 20:00 for some weed days which makes it very convenient as an after work plan. I'm no expert on the health related benefits of this treatment but in practice, it helped my asthma a lot. I've heard and tested saltroom almost a year ago but just couple of times and it was not my asthma peak period either. This year I went there in the most difficult period and it really helped. To be honest, I'm normally skeptical but The immediate effect surprised me. The other favorite thing about this room is that it is a silent room, no phone allowed, just lay down and listen to the music and keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths, not sure about you but I don't do these things all together so often :D For me, I will keep this treatment as a routine. Treatments: I got a classic Swedish massage, which was really relaxing. I had just finished listening to the Moth podcast about Russian massages, which can be bonecrushing. So I was a little nervous. However, my massager was strong, but gentle. I was relaxed and refreshed afterwards. Totally recommend it! I also got a mani/pedi with varnish. I didn't realize that either you get no nail polish, or they sell you the nail polish bottle! It was a funny surprise to get some nail polish to go! The Day Spa is free with any treatment, so I stayed from 9am to 4pm, and emerged glowing and joyful! Facilities: They have fantastic facilities. They were really clean - their staff were constantly cleaning and refreshing towels, water, fresh apples and slices of orange. Coed area: They have a beautiful little pool, hot tub with bubbles and a waterfall, steam room. In the women's area, they have a sauna, freezing cold pool with a waterfall, spacious changing room with big lockers. They also have lots of showers, WCs and extra towels, flip flops and lotions and soaps. Loved it! Fitness Bar: They also have a fitness bar upstairs, complete with smoothies and a food menu. Tip: wear real clothes, not your robe. Also, call the phone in there if there's nobody there to serve you. I got confused by all the members serving themselves, and wondered if they were staff members who were just ignoring me! Turns out, I should have just called downstairs. Fun Times: When most people left around 3pm, I had fun playing with all the buttons Harry Potter style, to turn on waterfalls and bubbles in the in the pool and hot tubs. Most of the time, there were people in each area on a Sunday. However, I noticed that there was a slight dip around 2-4, but more people were coming in around 4 when I left. Staff: The staff were all really friendly, polite and helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and sometimes I don't get the best response. But in this case, they were quite happy I chatted them up, and even offered me some tips for where to visit in Stockholm. Reservations: I emailed them 3 days before I arrived and they offered me their only reservation for the Sunday I requested. They even called me later to say that they had two back-to-back openings open up for the other treatments I requested. They emailed back promptly and answered all my questions. Prices: I found the prices to be fair considering it's in the middle of Stockholm and in such a nice hotel. Final Verdict: This has been one of my favorite spas because it's quiet, clean and not overrun with tourists. Their staff is professional and friendly.

Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! He provided a very professional and knowledgable massage that focused on what my body needed. Reda can sense if your body needs a lighter or a deeper touch, depending on how your muscles react. After the massage I felt calm and comfortable, and that feeling was even stronger as a result of being in my own home. I could then go straight to bed. Reda also gave me advice on how to treat my body better at work, so that my issues don't get worse. I really thought that someone coming into your home to give you a message would be more closely aligned with the niche of offering convenience than true expertise and I kept that opinion through about half of the deep tissue message (you can select from any of 4 styles: relaxing, deep tissue, Egyptian, or classical). I've had a fair number of deep-tissue work done before, as well as a myriad of other therapeutic and physiological treatments so I know the usual methods of approach and what to expect... Then I realized Reda (the owner of the business which he started 3 years ago) was approaching the message in a more careful way than I expected, testing the mobility of various muscle systems before and after his treatments and I started to pay more attention and give his treatment more respect. By the end of the message he had diagnosed almost all of my ailments without me telling him about them, had the suggestions for treating them (and not necessarily just via more massage time), spent some extra time going over the stretches he wanted me to do, and explaining how he thought these things were affecting me body now and how they would play out in the future. I know my body pretty well, but Reda figured it out and more in 60 minutes. He truly speaks the language of the muscular and tissue system. Not surprisingly, he has worked in the field for over 11 years as of this review and has done extensive work in the medical massage field, sports therapy treatments and even treats some of the competitors in the Swedish TV show "Gladiatorerna" (Rena is a pretty strong guy himself). He has a few other massage therapists working with him, so I can't comment on the expertise of everyone, but I'm sure they will be happy to tell you about them as well. I found the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful! The most impressive thing I got was how much Reda seemed to actually care about my health. He gave everything to me straight, and really stressed what needed to be done to fix the situation. When I asked about getting more deep-tissue work, he told me what to ask for in a massage and said it doesn't matter where I go, and that I could also do a lot to fix these problems on my own. That really increases my trust in someone. This guy knows his craft. I'm sold on HemMassagen. Very highly recommended!

Despite being always fully booked you are not overly disturbed by blow driers or big noises. It's the first time I felt calm and relaxed in a hairdresser. Even the chairs connected to the sinks recline and give you a nice massage! (I admit I might sometimes have closed my eyes for a brief second...) The staff is super friendly and have "the" skills. There's nothing they can't do. Personally I always feel safe but also special. Every time there's a discussion between what you want and what would be the real end-result. And I do appreciate that honesty.
