This massage made me feel INCREDIBLE after. I can raise my arms without feeling like i was rusty. I can lift my shoulders without struggling to get through the tightness. Best thing I've ever done. Best part is I have 5-6 more days of traveling and this will help me carry a backpack on my back without any more pain. The ladies were very accommodating and nice. I would 10000% recommend coming by in the beginning of your trip so you can feel great for the rest of your time/day.

We went looking for a massage place and found this one via reviews and Google. I was a bit…read moreapprehensive the same way I always am when we get a massage at some random place. But there was nothing to worry about. The women here speak good English, which is very helpful when booking. My husband and I were shown to neighboring beds. The room was warm but not hot. The ladies didn't really give us great instructions, so after a lot of laughter and giggling about which blanket goes where, we got it all figured out and started the massage. If you've never had Thai massage before, it's kind of like this petite Asian woman is trying to literally separate the fibers of your muscles by pulling your muscles in opposite directions. But afterward, you feel like 10 million bucks. This massage did use oil (some Thai massages don't) and so it was kind of like a hybrid Thai/deep tissue massage. I felt fabulous afterwards. The prices in general for massages in this part of the world are pretty cheap compared to what we pay in the USA so I was happy to pay and would absolutely come back.

It's only a brisk 7 minute walk from Brommaplan, and while it's nice to book ahead, they are happy to take walk-ins (which is great for those spontaneous "I NEED A MASSAGE NOW" moments). You know what I'm talking about! Prices on their website are accurate and super reasonable. The hour-long Thai and Olja massages are both 299 kr and quite a steal considering the usual going-rate for massages in Stockholm. If you live on the green line, check them out! If you don't live on the green line, sucks for you, but you should still check them out! Two thumbs up. This place will definitely be a monthly staple for us.

I've been at this place few times for their salt room treatment, time to write a few lines!…read moreThe local is a kinda cozy, I actually missed the entrance door the first time! If it does't open, don't give up, keep pushing :) The lady sitting there in the evenings is very friendly and helpful, ready to explain about several treatments they have. I've learned that she is not the owner though. The local itself is not fresh fresh but fresh enough to be comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no changing room, not critical for saltroom itself but I think about yoga for example, still good enough to give them a 5. They have two rooms, salt & ljus room, with different types of services, yoga & massage in salt room,.... Saturday mornings they have a special event for children in the salt room. I've just used the salt room and I am very satisfied. They are open on Saturdays and until 20:00 for some weed days which makes it very convenient as an after work plan. I'm no expert on the health related benefits of this treatment but in practice, it helped my asthma a lot. I've heard and tested saltroom almost a year ago but just couple of times and it was not my asthma peak period either. This year I went there in the most difficult period and it really helped. To be honest, I'm normally skeptical but The immediate effect surprised me. The other favorite thing about this room is that it is a silent room, no phone allowed, just lay down and listen to the music and keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths, not sure about you but I don't do these things all together so often :D For me, I will keep this treatment as a routine. I hope it will help others as well.

Though the location can be difficult to find, it is 110% worth it. She did a Thai / Combo Massage with oil as I requested and definitely wasn't afraid to apply pressure when needed and continually check with how it was feeling. Her technique is impeccable and couldn't have asked for better. So much that I went to see her again before I had to fly back home : )

He provided a very professional and knowledgable massage that focused on what my body needed. Reda can sense if your body needs a lighter or a deeper touch, depending on how your muscles react. After the massage I felt calm and comfortable, and that feeling was even stronger as a result of being in my own home. I could then go straight to bed. Reda also gave me advice on how to treat my body better at work, so that my issues don't get worse. I will happily book more massages with HemMassagen Stockholm because I feel cared for and that my health improves with each session.

The best experiences are those where your expectations start low or you really doubt that something…read morecan be worthwhile, but you happen upon someone who is a master of their craft and is able to show your their world through the simplicity of performing their skill. I really thought that someone coming into your home to give you a message would be more closely aligned with the niche of offering convenience than true expertise and I kept that opinion through about half of the deep tissue message (you can select from any of 4 styles: relaxing, deep tissue, Egyptian, or classical). I've had a fair number of deep-tissue work done before, as well as a myriad of other therapeutic and physiological treatments so I know the usual methods of approach and what to expect... Then I realized Reda (the owner of the business which he started 3 years ago) was approaching the message in a more careful way than I expected, testing the mobility of various muscle systems before and after his treatments and I started to pay more attention and give his treatment more respect. By the end of the message he had diagnosed almost all of my ailments without me telling him about them, had the suggestions for treating them (and not necessarily just via more massage time), spent some extra time going over the stretches he wanted me to do, and explaining how he thought these things were affecting me body now and how they would play out in the future. I know my body pretty well, but Reda figured it out and more in 60 minutes. He truly speaks the language of the muscular and tissue system. Not surprisingly, he has worked in the field for over 11 years as of this review and has done extensive work in the medical massage field, sports therapy treatments and even treats some of the competitors in the Swedish TV show "Gladiatorerna" (Rena is a pretty strong guy himself). He has a few other massage therapists working with him, so I can't comment on the expertise of everyone, but I'm sure they will be happy to tell you about them as well. I found the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful! The most impressive thing I got was how much Reda seemed to actually care about my health. He gave everything to me straight, and really stressed what needed to be done to fix the situation. When I asked about getting more deep-tissue work, he told me what to ask for in a massage and said it doesn't matter where I go, and that I could also do a lot to fix these problems on my own. That really increases my trust in someone. This guy knows his craft. I'm sold on HemMassagen. Very highly recommended!

I had to have a Swedish massage while in Sweden! Is it really a trip to Sweden without one (and…read moremaybe some meatballs!)? I of course took to Yelp to find the best place to do this. Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! No pics as cameras are not allowed!
