They managed to run everything through an old Victorian with plaster walls while making surprisingly few holes. Once the work was complete, they patched and painted everything and arranged for a deep clean. Cristian was transparent from the beginning about how much work the project would require and helped me think through where to place each drop and the best way to bring the cable into the house from the garage three stories below. His communication was fantastic throughout the entire process. He was super friendly, easy to work with, and never seemed to mind answering the many questions I had along the way. Cristian also took care of several side quests while he was here, including installing a whole-home surge protector, replacing a GFCI outlet and teaching me how to fish an HDMI cable. The team did an excellent job prepping and containing the work areas to minimize dust. Then, at the end, they sent in what I can only describe as the Seal Team Six of cleaners. They did an amazing job getting rid of the inevitable plaster dust and cleaning up after such a substantial project. The entire process took just under a week. Both the original timeline and the cost estimate were accurate, and the price felt fair for the amount and quality of work involved. I would absolutely work with Cristian and Torres Electrical and Design again. I'm already looking forward to my next project with them... even if my wallet isn't.

Carlos and Lois are good workers. Carlos was showing Lois how to cut open the ceiling nicely. Obviously Lois is the apprentice. When they looked at the leakage and opened up the ceiling, Carlo said it's not a big deal. I asked them how much would they charge, Carlos said he does not know. He usually will send in the job done and have Robert do the billing. Since they are referred to me by my regular plumbing guy, I thought I could trust them. The job was completed and finished in about 2.5 hours. Then I received an invoice of $886.00. The material, which is the wax ring that might costs $57.99. There is no material receipt that shows the material is $57.99. Then the labor was @180 per hour for Carlo and $130 for the apprentice Lois. So I have to pay $310 per hour for the labor. The charge is three times of the Union Workers. I don't understand. Then there is 1.7 % Venmo charge and $30 tax charge. Then he filed a mechanical lien on me and gave me another invoice, in which the amount is $1380.39. Pls. see the photos attached. Then the material goes up to $75.39 I don't want to say further. From the outset, Matthew was responsive, communicative, and professional. He took the time to understand the scope, asked the right questions, and was flexible in structuring the work on a time-and-material basis with a not-to-exceed cap, which I really appreciated from a cost management standpoint. His team arrived on time each day, worked efficiently, and completed the job within the expected timeframe. Coordination was straightforward, and any on-site adjustments were handled proactively and without issue. What stood out most was how smooth and organized the entire process felt--clear communication, straightforward contract and invoicing, no surprises, and solid execution. In my opinion, he's doing a great job at carrying on his dad's legacy. He was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end - I wish every tradesman could be like Matt. Great customer service - he communicated clearly, arrived on time, and was friendly and courteous throughout our interactions. His suggested approach to my project reflected my stated concerns (ie - minimizing damage to the walls) and he wasn't pushy about when/how to proceed. Deep expertise - his knowledge and experience were apparent as he walked me through the pros and cons of different options for completing the work. Trustworthy - Matt was transparent in his pricing, and provided guidance for staying in budget. I got the sense that his primary motivation was to do a good job, and to let that speak for itself. Further, on the day of the job, Matt brought an employee so the two could work together on the guy's last day. After completing the work ahead of schedule, he took the guy out for coffee, as a good boss would. In summary, Matt did a great job on the project I hired him for and also appears to be a stand-up boss. I would happily hire him to do any additional electrical work on my house in the future, and wholeheartedly recommend his work.
