Laziest employee ever. The unfriendly guy at the counter seemed bothered I bought something. I grabbed a new game instead of a used one( both on shelf) and he tried putting a opened copy in the box and I asked if they had it new as Eve the box and art was heavily damaged and he said no. I then asked for a used copy then and he claimed the shelf was wrong and he had nothing and somehow without even checking the system of shelf he just knew. The service was awful. We went yesterday to turn in old controllers, and were told by an employee that their system was down, but to come back tomorrow and it would be fixed. We came back the next day (today) and waited in line for 15 minutes before they told us that the customer in front of us would be the last customer they would be taking controllers from . Because their system was down again and the employees refused to input it in manually except for the person in front of us in line. Overall we are very upset with our experience, we took time out of two of our days this weekend to go turn in controllers, but in the end all we got was rude service. And a "that really sucks but the system is down and I'm already having to enter it manually for these guys" from an employee who was actively completing the service for the people in front of us. This promotion was happening nationwide and today was the last day so unfortunately now we won't get to participate in this promotion because the employees wouldn't help us. read more

Overall good experience. They have a lot of really neat collectible stuff and a decent selection of Switch games. TCG products besides Pokemon were in stock at a good price. My only complaint was the service. I was ready to check out so I approached the counter with my products. I walked up to where the person was standing and they just ignored me. The only reason for this purchase was GameStop dot com had a buy two used get two free. The so called owner(said she was the owner but everything out of her mouth was a lie) said I couldn't return just the one because it was part of a deal. Also, was trying to find any excuse not to return it. "You don't have the packing slip for both packages shipped". I had the one and showed my online invoice. I've been coming here for years, the staff has always been helpful and nice. They always recommend good games and let's me know when they're getting new anime statues in. I see a lot of people giving this place a bad rap when it's not the employees who can control what games they get in or control the return policies. Walked in with my power up card to but the new Marvel game. The employee said that they had no extra copies for sale. I said ok no problem. I went to the Best Buy in the same shopping center, walked in and got the game in less than 45 seconds. The staff here are very cool and extremely helpful. These guys are passionate about what they sell and you can tell that right away. One thing I should warn you about - DO NOT COME HERE WHEN IT IS PACKED! It is a small store and stinks to high heaven when a bunch of poorly groomed and rarely showered gamers are shopping around the store during peak hours. They should open a back window or something because WOW does it get stuffy in there. I felt like I had walked into a jungle of stinky dudes. Oh and check out their used consoles. I discovered I could buy a $20 Steam card on line for $20.99 and get the code delivered immediately, why wait? The line in Game Stop, when they have several to many customers, weaves throughout the store creating traffic and no place to sit or lean.... I hadn't been to this store in years, and as of recent now I remember why, it's a below average game store, and it saddens me to say that because I had some good memories from this place, from the late 90's (when it was still Funcoland) up to early this decade, 2011-2012ish. The employees that made this place fun and it gave it a gamer atmosphere are long since gone, it looks completely generic. Horrible service. I got a game that was to be sent from Lompoc to this location for xmas for my son. I went 17 days before xmas and shouldn't have been a problem. They said a week. I let 10 days pass nothing. So I go in and they haven't received it. They called location and still nothing Said it'll be 2 days on the 23rd I go and they never called me. I know I could have driven to Lompoc but the fact is they promised some service they couldn't even provide. Ethos: I've been to Gamestop when I was five years old whenever I want to buy a video game or consoles. When I was young I got gamecube games. When I got old, I got playstation 2 games, enjoyed it real good. When I was eight years old I got a Wii and it was like working out. When I was 11 I got an xbox with xbox live. Pathos: I can think of the old games that cost less then dollar and it feels like the right amount of cost for old games. I can think of seeing trailers for games that sounds exciting. I see all the official guides for games. Whenever I preorder games it felt like a dream of the items they give you. There are other things like really good headphones. Looking all the graphics in the graphics in the games in the games at the store was really epic. All of the advertisements it feels like it's making you want to buy it with thrilling excitement. They also buy blu ray videos to attract customers. There are extra controllers you can buy that would let you have friends to play with you. Logos: If you want to buy video games then go to Gamestop where there are games for you. If you ant to trade you old games with money then that store would give you some that looks suitable to give you. It has awesome headphones you can buy. It has blu ray movies for you to get. If you want old games Gamestop has it and cheap too. If your looking for official guides to get through your video games smoothly then Gamestop is the right place for you to go. Griffin is the man! I have seen him single handedly wait on me, who was trading in some consoles to trade in on an xbox one, which took some time, while waiting on several other customers in line. He was efficient, quick, and knew his job. When I asked why he was alone, he told me that some other employees were out sick, but he did not complain about it, nor did he have a bad attitude.
