Switch 2 preorder day, they sent out an email saying 11 is the preorder start up time. The store is still closed. There have also been other days ive shown up at 4pm with my kids after school and the store is closed, we get food across the street to kill time for about 30 mins and they remain closed. Ive waited near an hour on more than one occasion for them to open up with no luck. It's currently 11:30 as i write this, the employee showed up 2 mins before 11 and still has everyone waiting outside. Edit: Around 11:30 the employee finally came out and when asked about the email which stated preorder time was 11 the response was "We're opening at 12" and she walked off after handing somone a flyer to head back in the store. read more

I remember back in the day s when it used to be called FuncoLand, and I always used to buy ice hockey video games there as used copies for the PS2 back in 2004. I don't know what to think about the present day GameStop. They used to have people trade in their old games and systems, but not anymore. I rate this business as mediocre. Not all that great. If I could give this GameStop and its distasteful and dreadful staff a 0 maybe even a -9 I would. They lame asl, I called ahead 18 times literally to let them know, i had someone coming to pick the game for me. Giving full authorization to my friend and even added the name. I called customer support and they even confirmed I was good for having someone else pick up the game. Instead the person went and tried to pick the game and was met with two nasty rude individuals. I had 8 screenshots of proof. "I don't want to lose my job" all proof willingly provided and didn't let a 20$ game get picked up. Jonathan, the "worker" has become unhinged and curses with hysterical laughter on the phone and in the store in front of customers. He hangs up on people. There are similar reviews from others about this store. Clearly, he doesn't understand he represents the company while at work and can't use the company store phone for his personal unwarranted tirades. I've came here several time during the year. The employees here are really good with helping you out. The newer manager they have is a little ridiculous. She needs to be sat down and have a rude awakening or a corporate slap to the face, because she is literally useless from what I have seen. I bought a used X-Box 360 controller from here, and after three weeks it stopped working. Back when I called, there was a male manager who told me that as long as I have the receipt and the controller that I can come and get another controller. I mentioned to him that I wouldn't be able to come in until next week, he said no problem and he said; 'I already spoke to you, so I'll remember that you're coming and you can get another controller. I get to the store, with the controller (day 30) and there is a new female manager. I tell her my situation, and I hand her everything she needs to do the transaction. She looks at me , and tells me to give her a minute. Ten minutes go by, people on line are being served, and I asked If I can get help, because I feel this woman has pretty much gotten lost. So I ask one of the guys if I can get an exchange for one used controller for another one that works. The Sales Associate puts the controllers he has on the counter so I can choose which one I wanted. I pick one up and he starts the transaction. As he is in the midst of the transaction, the manager comes out and graces us with her presence. She asks him what the Sales Associate is doing, he tells her and then looks at me, like I did something awful. I just wanted another controller, not sit here and observe your store. In the end, I ended up leaving with my non-working controller and my receipt and leaving with nothing. With spending nearly 30 minutes here. So pissed. read more

Quite possibly one of the worst Gamestops I've ever been to. The rudeness and incompetence of the staff is only rivaled by the seeming unwillingness to help out a customer. I have been to at least 50 Gamestops in all different areas/states. I have experienced all levels of service. I love games and yes, I love a good deal. That being said, 90% of what you'll find in this store is thrashed, and I will not buy a game that is unwrapped or open but being sold at a new price. I know this is a Gamestop policy and not in any way the fault of the staff, but telling me that it's "new" when I can SEE scratches on it is an insult to my intelligence. But wait, here's the best story about this location: I called them on my cell from my home, about a 20 minute walk from the store, to see if they had a game. I was put on hold. Ok, I expect to hold a little. 10 minutes later, I'm annoyed. 15 minutes later, I decide to walk down there. Still on hold, I reach the store. I walk in, and am ignored by the two employees who are both helping a young lady that I guess they found attractive. Another harried worker is working the register and helping all 3 or 4 of the other customers. I walk out in disgust, and call the Gamestop complaint line. They ask me why I didn't ask to speak to a manager. Nice to know the company's policies in these matters are universally stupid. Go to any other Gamestop, you'll get better service. read more

There must have been some serious restaffing since I went here last. If there was, all I can say is I was pleasantly surprised. Still don't like them not picking up the phone for customer inquiries but it was more orderly, staff was more polite and the experience was better than what I've seen in the past. Ok Im a gamer, and I like to get video games when I need them. This place can be ok, but the majority of times I went, it went like this... Im there to pick up a game I reserved (say Call of Duty Black Ops II). One cashier during lunch time, (because everyone has lunch) 20 people ahead of me, all trading in games and consoles, no one buying anything, each of these people tahe around 5 minutes to 10 minutes EACH. Another 5 minutes for the arguement " This is a PS3, why are you only giving me 50 dollars for it when I paid 300 dollars for it?" And my 10 video games are only worth 45 dollars? I paid 600 dollars plus for these!!! After all that, then theres the arguement "why cant I get the same amount in cash as I can get in store credit?" it goes on and on.... Oh, forget when a NEW release comes out.... the place is pure mayhem... Last year I picked up MW3 the first night and was out in 5 minutes, this year for Black Ops II, forget it, you couldnt even get close to the store! I went the next day, and was like "wow, Ill just walk in and get it" NOPE. I opened the door and there was a persons back to me, meaning the line stretched the ENTIRE length of the store... on top of that, a lady starts screaming that her kid is hot and a handicapped guy is here and hes suffering.... Mind you it was a muggy day, like fog and humidity, not the ideal conditions... A TIP, if you want to get out quickly, always always always pay the entire balance before the day to pick it up, because they take you first. If you dont reserve it dont go. The phone must have rang 10000000000 times, they never picked it up. People on the COD release date are there with xboxes and playstations to trade in so they can get a 60 dollar game... they should really do away with the trade in policy, because it slows everyone down.... my two pennies... read more

Unfortunately, I couldn't post this with zero Stars so I had to give one. I can't believe the horrible customer service that I just received. I don't even know if you could call it horrible seeing as how I didn't receive any. The store was relatively busy, and there was an employee walking around. I don't know if he was a manager, but he appeared as if he may have been. I am an adult and was alone, meaning without a child or teenager, and I was interested in making a purchase. I am organizing a contest for young adults and have decided that the prizes would be gaming consoles and accessories. They had several pre-owned handheld systems and consoles that I was interested in. Altogether, it may have been close to 1500 for $2,000 I was willing to spend. But the guy that was walking around, only asked the younger people if they needed help. At one point I purposely hub looked and touched a few items to see if he would ever ask if I needed help. Needless to say he didn't. Yet continue to ask others if they needed help. I don't know if it was an age issue, a gender issue being that I am a woman, or a race issue. But whatever the issue was, I was not helped at all. read more

One of the few GameStop stores where the employees are actually cool, awesome and there to help you when needed, they make you feel welcomed, they make you feel satisfied and and make sure you're a happy. customer when walking both in and out of the store There selection of games, toys, collectibles, video game accessories, systems ect.. Is amazing and if you don't find something or the thing you're looking for they will do there best to make sure they get in or to you! Went to Game stop waited twenty minutes on line for a used game. I attempted to get unsuccessfully someone's attention because I had a question. Two employees just walking around aimlessly. Although there were several games cases on display. The cashier simply stated we dont have it. I ask why all the cases. Response sometimes happens. No I am sorry, No, if locate it can we call you. I am 32 and I got carded for a game in here! LOL! Some suggestions if you ever shop in here: Know what you want and check the website forehand if the product is available in here. Don't bother calling, the website is usually accurate. If you buy new, do not accept open copies of games. Make them give you a sealed copy otherwise....walk. If all else fails, stay for the lulz. This is an amazing Gamestop. They don't care about just making a sale, but to make sure the customer is satisfied with his/her purchase. They are fast workers, who know how to satisfy their clients. During Mid Night Launches, they are so energetic and are always ready with a smile in the middle of the night. With or without sleep. Typical game store. Line never moves and it take an hour to buy one game. You can pre order games, of course but you still always need to wait. The workers seem knowledgable about games but are pushy to get you to order other games while you are trying to pay. This is also the only GameStop in town. read more

I truly hate buying anything at any gamestop. Any gamestop within the 5 boros just plain suck. I mean the staff is helpful WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GET TO SPEAK WITH THEM. The problem is, they spend too much time on 1 customer. I came here a few times to buy a game or two and literally spent 40 minutes on line and there were only 2 people ahead of me. They have 4 employees there, and only 1 is at the register. I understand that they need to make each customer feel valued. But seriously now, speaking for 30 minutes about which game is better is not necessary unless its outside of working hours. Im sorry, but no one should have to wait so long to purchase anything. Its because of this that I end up crossing the street to FYE and buy games there. Sadly, this location tends to have longer lines than many of the other game stops I have come across. I am convinced that this place is hell on earth. Usually this place is incredibly over staffed, with half the staff messing around and chit-chatting with the only working member of the team. Every time I've gone in there, there will only maybe 2 people in line, but you will end up waiting way over 20 minutes. For releases, they don't end up letting the first group in until 10 mins late because the staff is wandering aimlessly around and passively trying to tell people to line up. I was in disbelief it could take a staff of 5 people 30 mins to tell people how to line up in a blob. The people who work here act like they are all characters in a Kevin Smith movie. They do not care about their job or the customers that supply them with their paycheck. Only reason I come here is because I love my boyfriend and Taco Bell. read more

ok ok here we go... The staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to the work of games but there is something going on... I pre-ordered the DIVISION and someone had all ready redeemed my code days before I picked up the game. I first contacted xbox to see if they had made a mistake on the code but I was advise that the code was used the day after the release... funny I picked it up 5 days after... hummm. Anyway I received a new code for the DIVISION (gear set) at GAME STOP. The bad thing about it that it was for my son so imagine how he felt when he could not redeem the gear set code. So if anyone pre-ordered the game and is unable to get the gear set. I advise you go personally so that they can give you your code. Other than that fishy stuff... they are pretty good. read more
