I got myself a cookbook and my husband got himself a few things. A nice bonus was with our receipt we recieved a deal for a buy 1 cookie at the Starbucks inside the store and you got a cookie free. My husband got a reese cookie and I got a sugar cookie. I do tend to gravitate towards independent bookstores but Barnes and Noble is a dependable chain that always seems to have what you need while also being in basically every larger city. The staff is friendly at this location and were helpful to point both my husband and I in the direction of what we wanted. I'm so happy that I got to stop in. I swear I could live at any bookstore. My sister had forgotten her phone charger at our home in TC. We don't have compatible phones, so…read moreshe needed to buy a charger. The first one she purchased on Saturday evening didn't end up working, and she bought two pens for her kids that had arms that moved. One of the kid pens broke overnight. So, we visited here twice while staying at the comfort inn across the way (super bad customer service there, btw). Oh well. Customer service was stupendous at Office Max though, we had an older gentlemen as our cashier and he was beyond patient with us and our exchanges, for another charger and another kid's pen. Plus, he helped us open the store door when it was still locked. D'oh.
