I've never met a business so allergic to money as GameStop. You'd think they could be profitable with what they pay for and resell used games, but somehow they continually disappoint. I came in one to look around while at the mall; it was busy but not too crazy. Found a GoPro tripod on clearance while they were having a 50% off sale. Online it was listed at $30, in store it was $60. I attempted to purchase it and price match their own website and the employee says to me that the price on the box IS the clearance / discounted price. I proceed to show him the online price, and let him know that MSRP on the tripod is $60 at every other retailer (GoPro direct, Amazon, etc.) and he's adamant that the price listed is what they have to sell it for. Okay, cool. No reason to spend my money here I guess. It really boggles the mind how people still shop here. read more

Pass. Go across the street to a larger, friendlier store. Whenever we need to find a game, we call Gamestop. And whenever we call this store, they can't find it. We called the one across the street, looking for Guitar Hero 3, and they personally put a hold on it. We had to go out to the Holland location for it, but I appreciated that they were willing to do all that for us. This store couldn't even be bothered to tell us if another place had it. It's always noisy, cramped, and I get gawked at because apparently this location has never seen a girl before. I hate the stereotype, but this is the only place where it's consistently true. read more

This "Software Etc" location in the Rivertown Crossings mall is a tiny game software store. Often crowded, sold out, and dirty, I prefer to go a block further down Rivertown Parkway to another Gamestop location. read more

He got me in and out of the store quickly even when he was the only one working. I had the worst experience here. Prior to entering the premise, I had called to ask if there was a certain game in stock. The game I was looking for was called "The fractured butthole". The guy on the line said they had it and he would save it for me. I arrived at the store and the game was gone. The cashier went back to check, but when he came back he smelled like marijuana. Even though he was Jamaican, I don't think it was right. He then preceded to tell me that some albino Haitian with sausage fingers sold it on accident. Oh, and this guy had a baby in the back that wouldn't stop crying and I don't think it was his because it was Mexican. So.... read more
