The boys go crazy every time we pass by a GameStop so I guess its usually a must stop at the mall. Things you can find here go from PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch games to accessories, toys, and clothing. Something I find cool is you can actually trade in games you don't want or don't feel like playing anymore. They will give you "trade credits" that you can use to purchase another game, that way you're not stuck with the same game all your life and you're not wasting money. They also have the option of purchasing pre owned games which are cheaper, but the returning policy would be different at this point. The service in this location is always on point. The guys working here are always helpful, and attentive most of the times. I worked at this store when it was EB Games, before it was bought out by Gamestop. (I miss Rhino Games and Play & Trade the most as I think of Gamestop as the "Starbucks of Video Games.") Recently went into my old store, and while the layout (and obviously the inventory) has changed drastically, the customer service, or lack thereof, reminded me why I left when Gamestop took over. The two young guys working were too busy chatting with one another and one of their friends to make eye contact, greet, or ask if I needed any help. Maybe they only care about helping those of the younger gaming generation, but I am a gaming dork, albeit, of an older, less hip era, but that doesn't excuse a retail store from making some attempt at acknowledging a possible customer. read more

If I could leave a zero star I would, just called to ask a question about return policy employee and management were rude and toxic. Zero help, cut me off multiple times, and even hung up on me. I don't know what GameStop's minimum requirement for hire is but I guess the bar is below dirt. read more

On 11/10/2020 I had a issue with who I believe is the manger of the Mall of Georgia location by the name of Steven. On 11/10 the location released the new Xbox series s and X for sale. After waiting over night due to the low amount of consoles available, I (as well as others waiting in line) were notified by Steven that in order to purchase the console we must purchase a bundle. This sounded a little fishy due to the fact that the advertised price for the console online stated the console was $299 (for the Xbox s) and the only bundles being sold were ONLY available online and not for in store purchase. I still proceeded to move forward due to the fact that the console was really hard to get. Steven then forced each customer to enter the location one at a time, which I thought was due to covid but I noticed he had about 3 friends who were not employees in the store before anyone waiting in the line could come in picking up what I presumed to be preorders. The reason I mention this is because I believe Steven wanted each customer to be isolated from the others just Incase anyone caught on to his act of adding additional products so they could not notify the other customers. While purchasing this "bundle" I noticed that each console was placed in a big black bag and was not in a Microsoft bundle package like most bundles would come. Included in the bag was the console, a additional Xbox remote, a game pass unlimited digital card and turtle beach headphones. I notified Steven that I did not need the additional items (anything outside of the console) and he notified me that the only way I could get the console was to purchase everything. In addition to the bundle I was forced to purchase I noticed when I got home I was charged for a warranty on every item and for a informers gamer subscription to a magazine. I was never giving a choice or notified of these additional charges.
