GameStop's Prismatic Fail - Where's the "Power to the Players"? I expected better from a company whose slogan champions "Power to the Players." When it came to the release of Prismatic Evolutions, GameStop dropped the ball so hard it practically deflated. Despite assurances of ample inventory, multiple customers (myself included) were misled about product availability. Only seven--yes, seven--Prismatic products were available. That's not a limited release; it's an embarrassing afterthought. The lack of transparency and poor communication turned what should have been an exciting launch into a complete letdown. In my experience, GameStop has always had things that I liked to buy and very nice and fun to talk to employees! One of them even suggested that I become a part of their rewards program, which really helped me out in a long run!! And another class is that every time I get something that I want from GameStop, it is always at a very reasonable price! Liars and thieves. Lies about inventory. They hired a security guard for the prismatic evolutions release and he said they had over 70 prismatic sleeved packs, which was a complete and utter lie. They actually had 0. They also said they had at least 7 etbs, also a lie. People outside waited literally hours to not see a single prismatic pack. Complete failure of a store and a security guard wearing sweatpants that knew absolutely nothing about what he was guarding. read more

Don't shop here! Poor customer service. The Manager was rude. I tried to buy two games one was priced $2.99 and another was $4.99 both games rang up at $4.99 he would not correct the price for the one game at $2.99. This store bates and switches prices on you. Brooks was awesome, he helped us with trade-ins, during a busy time. Saturday morning, he had a new employee that showed up late, some inventory issues, on the phone, checking the trade-ins, with 10 people in line. Grace under pressure, nice work Brooks, all Game Stop employees should be like you. read more

Stopped in there on Tuesday March 15th 2022 around 5pm the the kid working there was total dip S$$$ and couldn't even talk properly. Asked him some simple questions about my membership couldn't even talk properly. Sad to see management has such losers working there with no skills or customer service. Management probably bunch of stoned games can't think outside the box. read more

GAMESTOP ALGONQUIN IL. Ally (Manager) runs a great store. What made is so great was not only the superior customer service, but after going there for a while she heard that my son was going to have a serious surgery. She took it upon herself with her assistant Brooks ( Vermont ) and the staff included to put together a large gift box filled to the top with loads of Pokémon cards WITH THERE OWN MONEY, for him to open when his surgery was over.
