Another poor review :-( I had my Sony Playstation repaired…read morelast May (2014) The fault was to do with the graphics chip and the only work needed was to re-solder it, a common fault i am informed. Now my PS3 is used mostly for watching downloaded TV in MP4 format, catch up TV and YouTube, no hardcore gamer here. Just 9 months later the same problem has arisen. These guys after i explain what's happened said basically it was tough, their work was only good for three months and it is going to cost £85 again ! I asked them to waive their diagnostic fee but alas NO, they want me for the full £85. Whilst trying to come to a mutually agreeable solution, i was tag teamed by three of them ! not very nice. So with that i declined their repair terms and left. In short, they have lost my business, my friends, family & associates. Looking at small claims court also to recover my initial repair costs under the clause of reasonable expectation of use. I most certainly do not recommend you use this company's services unless you are happy with a temporary repair that is possibly only good for 3 months.

After a couple of days they rang to say the hard drive was faulty cost a new disc £68 plus adding on windows further £54 so said it was an extra £164 PLUS VAT !! Didnt feel comfortable so took it to my friend Dave who repairs computers but who had been away. He looked at it and told me he set it back to factory default saved the data and tested it.. All worked fine. He was very upset that they would have tried and scamed more money for something not needed.... i went in and confronted them but being a woman they told me they had done what they thought was correct and the disc drive could go at any time. They refused my £42 money back.. Moral of the story DONT USE CRAWLEY COMPUTERS THEY ARE CON ARTIST.. SHAME ON YOU ..

Apparently I previously gave a 5 star review. I've had to…read moredowngrade to a 1 star review because of fraudulent activity. They denied a 2 day voucher return from a tablet bought in Crawley because the product was too damaged. The damage in question was a hairline scratch on the side frame of the tablet. They confirmed that my receipt said it was bought in Grade B condition. Apparently a scratch that isn't even on the screen, and requires a strong light source to be visible, is too damaged for them to accept. According to a young man who refused to give his name but claimed to be the manager, that wouldn't be sold in his store at all, not even as grade C. This is a scam performed because the tablet in question is difficult to sell as it has an out of date OS that can't install apps or use the internet anymore. Individual franchisees protect themselves by refusing returns from other franchisees as they don't want to eat the cost of stocking something they never wanted to sell or having to pay to ship the item back to its original store. The idea that CeX acts as a monolith chain is fiction. Treat each store as an individual store and don't expect a promise from one store to be upheld by another. I would like to add that their behaviour was professional, but the blank faced lying about the condition being too poor to accept for return means what seemed to be professional behavior was actually blatant trolling. Oh and I did get my return. I went back to the original store, Crawley, that I bought it from. Purchased a more appropriate tablet and it was quick and painless. It was a lovely day out and CeX Crawley earned their 5 star review. Edit: Also these pictures are out of date.
