Her pups were just barely born at the time, but instead of just shoving her pups at me, we just spoke about random topics getting to know each other during winter. Because she knew I had been scammed prior to talking with her about buying a puppy, she was patient as she answered all my questions about her, her puppies, and how they were being raised and she took the same time to get to know me as a pet owner and what she was looking for as a potential customer/parent for one of her puppies. Not only did she have an application, but she called every one of my references, (and I know that detail because my friends told me she called and she spoke with my husband since I put his name down as a reference), and she agreed to have a video call with me show me the puppies all of which proved to me that she is a legit breeder. She had already named each pup, but it was no problem to ask if we could rename our chosen pup even before we were able to take her home and she agreed. Our little girl even took her new name really well, going from Elf to Rayla (who is an elf from a show called Dragon Prince)! We love our little pup and Dawn was awesome to work with.

How good is that? They actually care that much where the animals are going and want to make sure they are not going someplace where they could be let outdoors and be harmed or living in a bad environment. To this day the company I work for and myself collect donations to help out their Cat and Dog shelters. I am so grateful there is a place like this that really does care about what happens what the animals leave their care. More places should take lessons from them. They find loving homes, not throw away money collection adoptions. Thank you for all you do, please don't stop. Thank you for speaking for those that can't speak for themselves. Jerry

During the adoption process we found out that Susie was around 1 year old and found as a stray with her kittens. She was almost dead from lack of food, but was continuing to nurse her kittens regardless of her own health. Once her kittens and her were returned to full health she was spayed, but her body reacted badly procedure and once again she almost died. The shelter kept giving her continuos care and once again returned her to full health, and that is when we found her. I cannot thank this shelter enough for caring to help her through her tough young life and not giving up and euthanizing her. She is a great cat and I am so happy to have supported such a great shelter! Give this shelter a look if you're looking to adopt!

Our little man that we named Scout is funny, energetic, smart, and sooooo cuddly. Their facility was clean and well managed as well. The breeder even had us wear booties on our shoes to prevent anything transfering to their property that could affect the dogs and puppies. How smart was that?! We love scout so much and wouldn't trade him for anything. looking forward to in a few years getting another from Mt. Hood Pomskies again and getting Scout a buddy! Thank you again!

If there is Pomeranian in this bloodline it's well hidden. Who would have ever thought a 9 lb, 4 month old puppy could be so strong? This breeder favors the husky characteristics. The puppy's energy level was astounding, she was always "on" and she could drag me out the door and across the yard when we went out to potty. We had our "perfect puppy" for 3 weeks, watched YouTube videos, read books, took her to classes, talked with the breeder and read books but she was too much for us and our poor kitty. We loved her immensely but knew she was not the puppy for us. We returned her per the contract. We would have loved to have her when she was older and had some basic leash and leave it training, we still would. Or one of the 5 lb Pomskies, but size is not guaranteed. Take your time finding the right dog. Read your contact carefully - they are serious. We got $0 of our $2,000 refunded. Our hearts and finances are still recovering.

I messed up and had to change the date and they responded with "no problem, we adjusted, look forward to speaking to you." When we finally had our phone consultation both my husband and I fell in love with Ursula's bubbly personality and knowledge. She spoke to us about our dog's issues and made some suggestions for immediate help and then suggested a trainer for anxiety. But we wanted to make sure we could try with her first so we are setting up an in person as we feel she can definitely help us and our dog. They are responsive, understanding and truly care. Ursula listened carefully to our concerns and gave us great suggestions and feedback. So I cannot recommended them highly enough just based on that. BUT I know we will love her when we start training (and I'll definitely update my review!)

Ursula and Dennis, are not only dog whisperers but are easy to communicate with, quick to respond to any questions or concerns and are all around two of the nicest people we've met in Portland. They did not promise a "quick fix" but rather provided us with a foundation of rules and tools to help improve both our lives and Habibi's life. We enrolled Habibi in the Lodge & Learn program, and we could't be happier or more impressed with the results; he came out obedient, confident but still his goofy self. Honestly, we were anxious to to trust someone with our baby for an entire month but after speaking with Ursula on the phone, we felt confident he would be in good hands and that the Lodge and Learn program was the right fit for him. The transition from our home to their place, was the hardest part, but also went flawless and was executed perfectly. Once he was back at their place we constantly got pictures & texts to update us on his progress and they always felt like just a text or phone call away. They have continued to be impactful and available in Habibi's training once he has been home. He continues to grow and improve thanks to their love, training and guidance. The visible changes Habibi has shown speaks volumes to the program they run & the people they are. They have given so much love and attention to our guy & instilled confidence and happiness, and Habibi is truly a BETTER DOG! His ability to listen to commands, walk on a leash without pulling, or simply sitting at a park has brought so much happiness to my family. We will forever be thankful for the work The Better Dog Co, Ursula & Dennis have done for our lives & Habibi's life.

We've known owner Nicole since she was a teenager and have seen with our own eyes her work ethics over the years. She has dedicated her life to raising well-educated, responsible kids who are also involved in the entire breeding process. Fancy Pants goes above and beyond to ensure their pups are healthy by implementing a thoughtful, genetically sound breeding program. Pups are exposed to daily life activities such as grooming, nail trims, crating, car rides, lots of play and cuddling before they send them off to their forever homes. The adoption process was not taken lightly - Fancy Pants takes time to ensure adoptive parents are a good fit to the pups they will be going home with. Nicole was always happy to answer our new parent questions through the entire process. We brought 8 week old Harley home in January 2023. He's been a delight and fills our lives with joy every day!
