Great spot! We were…read morelooking for a video poker machine to give my mother-in-law who loves to play but doesn't get over to the casinos much anymore (plus Covid...). We landed at New Life Games and we were thrilled with the selection and pricing! The store is loaded with refurbished slot machines, video poker and video games. We walked around and found just the one we wanted, they even switched out the top part of the cabinet display for one we liked better. The owner, Scotty (?), was very informative and helpful, gave us a satisfying price and off we went to give her the surprise! And she sure was surprised!!! We were told to contact the store should we have any issues with the machine. We did have some, and every now and then we still will run into a quirk or glitch, but they are readily helpful and even have come to the house to fix the problem. Excellent customer service!!! Especially when the in-laws are older and don't leave the house often, plus "technology" can be confusing to them. Scotty shines through every time! Unfortunately our sweet Nana passed away months after her gift, but we were able to let her get in some great in-home gambling before she went to the casino in the sky! We are eyeballing a Pac Man / Galaga table top that he's got on the counter for sale, one day we'll have one and when it's time to buy, we know just where to go! Answer: HEARTBREAK ‍‍‍‍ Apparently, these kids who run these stores--I don't know if you CAN call them "exceptional management material" (I sure as Nine Hells can't!!!)--couldn't give me a straight answer on ANYTHING!!! The 21 yr young manager, who claimed she was having trouble with the company's computer system, didn't seem to know what she was doing. I specifically wanted a NEW XBOX Series X Disc Console... --NOT a Digital-only console, --NOT a REFURBISHED Disc Console, --& certainly NOT a PRE-OWNED Disc Console!!! Said manager tried to "sell" me a pre-owned or refurbished model, PROVIDED I do the "payment up front" thing. I was like, "no way, Jose!!!" Like I'M gonna be desperate enough to pony up $$$ first, knowing the requested item might not arrive before the next generation of XBOX is released...!!!!!! You see, this is the culmination of what amounts to the combined legacies of the failed Clinton, Obozo and soon-to-be-nonexistent Biden administrations.
