Especially when it's within a week of the purchase date. This retailer does not give refunds. Period. They will only give store credit or offer an exchange. Not only were we not told that at the time of the transaction, when we called to dispute the claim the manager only deferred that it's the owner's policy. Well, according to the Arizona Attorney General, that is defined and considered consumer fraud by being deceptive and unfair and a misrepresentation by a seller. The employee(s) failed to inform us of their policy at the time of the transaction. The AAG has the ability to investigate unfair and deceptive business practices. So bottom line is, I would steer clear of this retailer. read more

Crap quality and even worse customer service. Attempted to return this shirt, actually just asked to exchange for same as this one had a seam that was missed during manufacture. An employee actually stated, yes, that it was a defect. When they didn't have the exact same shirt they refused to exchange it even after admitting it was defective. We weren't trying to get something for nothing, just something for the money we spent. Manager was rude as well. Never buying anything here again. read more

This shop is within walking distance of the London Bridge and carries swimsuits, dresses, etc. , board shorts and tees for guys, and also has a lot of equipment. If you go in August, they discount a lot of the equipment -- wakeboards and inflatables. They also have skateboards and razor scooters. We were in town for the weekend on a paddle boarding adventure! Unfortunately they did not have any GoPro accessories but they have everything else! I've been going here for years and has always been my go to place because of their good service and selection, but I just bought my wife a pair of Ray Bans this morning for her Birthday today and asked if she didn't like them could they be exchanged both the owner and the other person opening the store up said yes no problem to exchange. she liked them but they were warped from the factory so she went to exchange for another pair granted this was 7 hours! after I purchased them but they gave her such a bad time trying to exchange them we won't be buying any more sunglass from them. Disappointed, when purchasing a child's life jacket I asked if they had a military discount? As a female Veteran I rarely ask for anything because I'd rather do it myself. The gentleman said yes to the military discount. Upon taking my ID card out he said active duty only. I asked what about people who served their country, they don't count? He told me if he gave it to Veterans he would have to give the discount to everybody. Needless to say if you offer a military discount then do it! Going to avoid shopping here if I can. I spent over $700 in this store over the last few months. My daughter bought two bathing suits today. Tried it on at home because of Covid. It did not fit so I immediately took them back to the store and tried to exchange them. They would not return then citing signs that no refunds or exchanges on women's bathing suits. There was no sign by the rack she got the suit from and the other bathing suit racks had the sign well over 6-foot high. Not many women would even see the sign. Further the sign at the register was blocked by things for sale so you could not see it when purchasing. The sales girl Caitlyn did not mention the policy to us at time of purchase and did not ask if she tried them on. So disappointed in customer service considering we returned them within less than an hour of purchase. Further the signs were not visible and salesperson did not bring the policy to our attention when paying. Was simply told "too bad it's policy" and salesperson walked away. I hope the owner will do the right thing and give store credit and fix the signage problems. read more

My husband and I love coming here. We usually get our sunglasses here every year. As well as apparel and new vests throughout the year. The owner is a really nice guy and is always helpful when we see him there. This last summer in July we came in to get some new sunglasses, my husband likes Oakley and I'm a FOX gal. First off we were not greated as we usually were, the girl behind the counter was eating and could careless about us. When we asked for help with sunglasses it was as if we just ruined her whole day. It's hard to just try one pair on and go. So I felt just disgusted with her attitude to help us and open a few cases! Was never treated this way with any other employee there. The others had always been cheerie and welcoming! I didn't even want to get my sunglasses, that's how upset I was! It was July 28th or 29th I believe, because my husband and I had just got home from a weekend away for my 30th. It was a typical hat you would expect to find at a lake, ocean golf resort ect.. After one day of use, the hat fell apart. When I brought it back to the owner of the store to show him the hat he told me in a condescending manner that its not mean to worn at the lake. Now keep in mind that the store is called beachcombers and its located right next to the lake, and sells all items one would need to go to a lake.
