Game Headz is one of the most shabby video game retail stores I have ever been into. Before I…read moreentered I didn't expect it to be like GameStop but I didn't expect almost all of the shelves to be empty with only one employee helping a line full of people. I went in to find two games that were unpopular and one game that was semi- popular at the time. I was able to get a hold of the semi-popular game and I was surprised that they had it in stock, simply because the store had a limited number of available games. On top of the disappointment of not being able to find all of the games I came for, the service was terribly slow. There was one employee helping at least eight customers. I was at the front of the line and it took him about 20 minutes to get the game and "prepare" it for purchase. I feel like if you are going to shop at Game Headz you should call ahead, see if they have the game you want, and ask them to prepare it for you ahead of time. -TRQ

I love checking out used retro video game stores! I read the reviews and most were good but more…read morerecently they seemed to take a turn for the worse...I decided to check it out myself. The store has a good selection of retro and new stuff which was nice. But the biggest issue I had, which I noticed in a lot of reviews, was pricing. Everything was priced well above market. For example: Used GameBoy Advance SP (non-AGS101 screen) $80 bucks, Used Nintendo 2DS (not 2DS XL) $80 which is the same as the brand new price! Most used games were about 20-30% above market pricing when compared on GameStop's site. Not sure if I'll return. I don't mind spending a few bucks more sometimes if it's something I really want or if its harder to find but the pricing was out of wack on just about everything. I know the guy has to make money, but market pricing is so readily available now that it's silly of the owner to not think people will pull out their phone and check the prices online before purchasing.

I recently visited Game Reaction to have a PlayStation III 80 gig backwards compatible console…read morerepaired, the owner told me the motherboard was fried, he also removed the hard drive and kept it without my knowning it. i found it missing after i got home. Upon returning to the store, the owner promptly told me he put it back in the console, that I was mistaken about him keeping it, he also told the police the same thing. Just so happens the security camera in his store does not cover his work bench.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Whether you're a serious collector or just getting started, I definitely recommend checking this place out. It is literally here is a binder how much. Then they take every single card out so you stand there putting everything back like you are the problem. They offered me one dollar for full arts. I had about one hundred forty of them. I asked for one fifty which was more than fair since two of the cards alone were worth over one hundred twenty. The response I got was just why. They also own the shop in Clawson which somehow has even less inventory and even worse customer service. I watched a customer bring in a binder with vintage cards and other great stuff. The owner offered fifty dollars. It was a joke. I said I would at least look at it and he told me not in his store. I said fine I can look outside. He said no again. When I said that I just do not want to see them rip off nice people the way they tried to rip me off at the other shop he told me to get out and took back the one hundred fifty plus cards I was about to buy. If you go here only buy sealed and do not let them hassle you. They know when someone is strapped and they try to take advantage. I would never come back after how I was treated. If anyone else has had a similar experience please share it so people know what to expect before they walk in.

There's a lot of NSBM and white power bands mixed into their metal section, and not just the stuff…read morethat kind of gets a pass like Burzum. I'm talking records with swastikas that are banned for sale on most websites. When I asked them they seemed apologetic and said it was an accident, but given how most places price records (and what some of these look like) it feels more like a conscious decision to sell and profit off of racist music than it does an accident. Would suggest they either go through their stock with a fine tooth comb (assuming they care) or just own up to it.

The gaming area is usually dirty with an overflowing garbage can and left over bottles and wrappers on the table. The atmosphere wasn't friendly and my boyfriend and I ended up just sitting by ourselves at this "Game Day" and didn't feel like we'd be included in the groups already formed. I was warned about Mike's often sexist remarks and maybe I went in a little prejudice but definitely didn't feel respected. As a newbie in town, I was hoping this would be a fun game shop for my boyfriend and I to frequent, but Mike is normally in the back playing games himself or flipping through a comic in the front. We didn't feel welcomed. We'll take our business down the road to the other game shop.
