I appreciate that they like to talk to their customers and share their love of video games and collecting with everyone who comes through the door. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The inventory is unique and diverse. They have a great selection of games from all ages and It's the only place I know of where you can find good import games at reasonable prices. It was close to the time to close the doors and the manager came out and kicked everyone out of the store and would not let me complete the transaction. When I asked him to just let me finish, he argued with me for longer than it would have taken to ring out the sale. I get that it was a stressful time and I have worked retail before, but this is no way to treat customers that willing to drop a great deal of cash on a system, games, and reupping their Gamestop Pro membership. Do not give this store or their manager any of your cash, you are not valued as a customer here.

I went in looking for PS3 controllers one of the days I went, in store was cool and I loved the…read moresetup but area is kinda sketchy first time going, $45 for an original ps3 controller and 25 for a 3rd party controller the white one was the first one they sold me which where L1 is located it was already broken and not something I've done and I went back in two days later to get a replacement for the faulty controller it even had connection issues. The second time I came in the store opens at 10Am and I was sitting in the parking lot at 10:44 and a few minutes later they arrive at 10:47 to finally get to the store as I sat in my car waiting to exchange controllers and after I go in I tell the guy about the controller he tells me that he can't warranty the white controller because it's broken and they don't sell broken controllers but I tell him I didn't break it it was sold to me like that then tells me he's going to check the cameras to see. I had a receipt texted to my number he offers to refund but I wanted a different controller to be given he gives me the black one with dirt and no offer to clean it what so ever and no testing the controllers they're selling I get home to load up a game I chose saints row 3 and my character starts walking by himself which is obviously stick drift so that's two faulty controllers I wouldn't recommend honestly but that's my experience at forever games.

I thought I was there for one pinball machine only and that was my favorite, "Monster Bash". With a handful of quarters, I did my best to obtain 1 million points. After reaching my goal--I played several other pinball machines including: Metallica, Super Mario, Street Fighter, The Addams Family, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and South Park. One machine took my quarters by accident and I notified their employee, Elijah a.k.a. Little Elijah. He reimbursed me for the quarters without question. The hospitality at Game Cycle was top notch that Little Elijah gave me a bottled of water for the road. I also walked away with an action figure of Dr. Decker from "Nightbreed" and the NES version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", after sharing stories with Randy. If you're in Springfield, make sure you stop by Game Cycle. You'll be glad you did.
