Game Nest Arcade is a Japanese arcade located in Chinatown and honestly I think of this place as a mini Round1 Bowling & Arcade (minus the bowling part). The arcade has 50+ machines on the floor with imported Japanese racing games (including some newer racing games like Initial D The Arcade and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6R), rhythm games, etc. Unlike Round1, there aren't too many claw machines here. There are some cute anime posters in one section of the arcade. The arcade also sells food and drinks. [Parking]: Easy and free strip mall parking. [Gameplay]: The arcade offers unlimited hourly play at a rate of $12 per hour (excluding prize redemption games). Cards are rechargeable with a $1 activation fee for new cards. For credits, the price is $11 for 50 credits and players receive more free credits the more they pay (e.g. $110 for 777 credits). Tokens are needed for the gashapon capsule machines ($1.50 per token). This was my first time visiting this arcade, and it might honestly be my new favorite arcade in Vegas. The place was super clean, and I loved seeing staff actively cleaning while I was there. Every game I wanted to play was working, which is honestly rare for arcades these days. The Need for Speed game was easily my favorite! it was so much fun. I also loved the hidden little walkway you could go through. It gave off a cool speakeasy vibe and made the arcade feel even more unique. It wasn't overly crowded, the staff was friendly, and I don't have any complaints. My only ask on this vegas trip was to come here and be a kid again! To play all of our childhood games with no distractions for an hour and we did just that. The price increased from $10 to $12 unlimited play per hour plus $1 activation per card. The timer is built into the card, you'll see the remaining time on the screen. Just tap at the machines. Games with prizes such as the claw machines were bought for credits to use as tokens to play. Otherwise the arcade was unlimited per hour. The place wasn't that big but they carried all games from the 80s and on. It was very nostalgic for us all. Be patient as these are original machines that they recycle/refurbished from Japan and are 40-50 years old. Some were slow to start or didn't start at all. The instructions on the screen were in Japanese but you get the point. To maximize your time, come when they open otherwise you'll have fanatics who come and hog the machine all day. I got to be the race car driver, the basketball player, the deejay, dancer, bowler, saving citizens. They do charge $1 for card activation so keep ur cards next time. This place is a good size arcade they had lots or games not too much games for credits maybe less than 10 games They also had a cafe with great prices. Their restrooms were clean when I used it 3 stalls no baby changing pad no napkins to wipe your hands just a hand dryer. This is a Japanese arcade with lots of unique games you won't find at any other arcade places. However, some of the games are completely in Japanese so it may be hard to learn how to play some of them. All of the games are paid by a game card in which there's only 5 tiers of payments: $11, $22, $33, $44, and $110. Each higher tier gives you more bonus credits. You can also opt for the hourly rate of $12. New cards cost an additional $1. Thus, for my crony and I, we paid $23 for 115 credits. What this really means is that it allowed us 18 plays which means you are paying an average of $1.28 to play one game. My personal favorite was the basketball connect four game which I felt was a really cool, but simple take on the classic connect four game. If you like arcade games and are looking for a unique experience, you should really stop by here. read more

Decided to stop in after seeing this arcade around for awhile. Purchased two hourly passes. Was charged a card fee because I didn't already have a card. Wish that wasn't a hidden fee. The games were older; some classics. Good represent action of Japanese games, rhythm games, shooters, some carnival classics like basketball and speedball. Some games were in Japanese only so we were a bit lost on all the functionality or options in the games. There aren't many brand new games, but I think that's because new arcade games aren't being produced anymore like they used to be. Expect some of the bugger name older classics. The player 1 gun of Time Crisis aim alignment is completely off which made it feel like lost time playing a broken game. I was probably mist excited to play that. Wish there were more coop beat em up classics like Turtles In Time or the XMen games. It was OK. Likely won't be back but I don't think they're catering to my demographic seeking nostalgia entertainment. I applaud them for being in what I think is a tough business keeping an out of fashion nostalgic relic alive. I wish I had more reasons to return and support the business. read more

I really really love this place and have been coming here for a few years now. The games are great and I think all kinds of people can have fun here no matter their interests. However, I came about a week ago and had a kind of weird experience. The staff are usually very nice and polite, but some employee working at the cafe register was pretty rude to me and my friends. I can't really see the menu that good so I like to order on a kiosk if I can, so I tried to do that but this employee with glasses and I think pink hair started laughing at me with another employee and said "you can just order here yknow." So I felt weird and just ordered from her, and then throughout the whole process she kept rudely and loudly going "WHAT?!?!" after I asked for something. It was pretty rude and she just had a bad tone overall. Someone who deals so closely with customers should not really act the way she was. I feel bad writing this because besides this experience, I love the arcade so much and have supported it for a while now, so i'll keep coming. read more

Such a cool spot! Been here twice now and it's quickly turning into a must whenever we visit the area. Super reasonable price; I think we paid $12 per person per hour. You definitely spend way more in a traditional arcade than that (at least if you die as quickly in time crisis 4 as I do). Love that there's so much variety. There's racing games, DDR, carnival-type games, and shoot games, truly something for everyone. Everything is in great shape, didn't feel at all like it wasn't being maintained. Some of the games are in Japanese only so potentially can take some time to figure out how to navigate those.
