The board game section is much more focused (though the staff, aside from maybe 3 including owners in that number, still seem to know little or offer little assistance in this area) I'n okay with that I do my due diligence usually before heading in but it would be nice if I find that rare item I've never heard of for them to at least fake and interest and possibly look it up! Still the selection and fact that they carry some of the heavier things Uber doesn't usually will keep me popping in to see what's new. Alas, the MtG's will always rule this shop and I'm okay with that too... but I still hold out hope and at least no rude 'there's the door' innuendos anymore... in fact I haven't seen that employee in my time back coming in... odd... The owners help with difficult to order items. The shop hosts many geek community events like card night and games. They take part in the annual comic shop crossover which promotes local geek culture. The owners are also part of the organizing committee that runs Forest City Comicon which is a wonderful and welcome edition to the London festival and convention scene. The store is very well laid out and organized. They also take part in a loyalty program called Vicinity which many other shops also take part in so less rewards cards in your wallet. Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport (multiple routes). A great spot to buy all things nerdy and geeky!

They have hundreds of thousands of cards stacked with stars, and their prices are low. Variety includes Upper Deck, OPC, Topps, Fleer, Score, Donruss, Leaf, Pinnacle and spans the low and upper ends of the spectrum. The staff are unbelievably friendly. There is a palpable neighbourhood-bar vibe, where local collectors drop in to buy packs and boxes in quantities large and small, and feel free to voice their support or criticism of sports teams. Parking is free, and for those with a spouse who doesn't want to spend hours in a sports card store - there is a shopping plaza. London Transit has a close stop, approximately a 2 minute walk away near the Taco Bell. Definitely worth the bus ride or drive. This place is the epitome of 5 stars all the way through.

That would be difficult to dispute! In response to the first reviewer, the law requires sellers to charge tax. Only charities where volunteers only operate a store, may be exempt, but from experience even they charge tax.

Regarding those who say it's not right to charge tax, I don't know of a single antique mall in southern Ontario where you get away with not paying tax. As a business owner, you are responsible for obtaining tax on goods or services sold. Pure and simple. If you're looking to not pay tax, flee markets, garage sales and the like would be the better avenue. Walking into any "business" you should expect to pay tax.

Even though the hobby has gotten expensive as of late, they still offer great value. My kids love going there because the staff are friendly and kind. Sometimes kids can be a bit annoying when the store is busy but the staff never make them feel like a burden. Even when all the adults are crowding around the display cases, the staff are good about making sure the kids get to have a look. Players is doing it right. Give'em a look.

Now, when placing an order online, how many people are using this information? I can appreciate someone double checking, but his paranoia and lack of honor in fulfilling the order after I placed it and provided the references to him was dishonest as he stated that there was not enough history with the other companies even though I gave him the RCM as a reference obliging him i would not provide an ID as I reside in the US and that can easily lead to digital fraud. That said, he clearly did not want to sell me the product, came up with an excuse that he needed more references and I was stunned that he tried to create problems for me with other vendors. . These vendors ignored him and my orders were fulfilled. Those companies I will be patronizing again. I would recommend AVOIDING this store due to his reneging on purchases, defamation and wasting customer time. It is a hassle that is unnecessary and unwarranted. I wonder what he does with the digital ID's he would collect over email. Overall, my experience is that if you have an online business, honor the transaction or spell out the conditions on your website for reneging on a paid order. He did neither, but he did refund my Paypal account. Ihope this helps others from wasting their time.

We walked around for quite a while because there is just so much to look at and tons of great prices. There was a ton of variety too. Lots of different types of rain ponchos and protective gear, tarps, camp supplies, and even toys and clothing. Whether you need pvc pipe, magnetic sheets, bungie cords, a piano, body wash, honestly, Forest City has it. We purchased a hat from Circus CIrcus (the Las Vegas casino) because it went with our camp theme. They used to give them out back in the day when you signed up for their loyalty cards. Talk about a sweet find! I stayed away from purchasing a sleeping bag as I was unable to see what it was like on the inside. They have a sign saying not to open them up. If you have a free Saturday afternoon I would suggest heading down Dundas to check it out. It is attached to the Gibraltar Weekend Market so there are lots of great deals there as well. I already have plans to come back soon to pick up a few things that I forgot about. Either way, I know I will get some of the same products found at big box stores for a fraction of the price. So take some time and check them out! It may just save you a small fortune!
