Dr. Stewart is extremely knowledgeable but takes a conservative approach to treatment, which we deeply appreciate after past experiences with the opposite approach. We're so thankful to have found this practice! Even though we drive 45 minutes to get to their office, it's absolutely worth it because we trust them completely. Every single person we interacted with was so sweet--Dr. Stewart, Keely, Tia, Donna, and another assistant or extern (whose name I missed) were all wonderful. We couldn't be more impressed! As someone who takes a holistic approach to health, I truly appreciate Dr. Stewart's respect for dental choices and how the practice offers ways to align with holistic preferences while still providing exceptional care. Another bonus is their in-house membership plan, which is perfect for those without insurance or looking for an alternative. The plan covers two preventative cleanings, two periodic exams, any necessary X-rays, two fluoride treatments (if needed), and even two emergency exams per year--with no waiting period, deductibles, or pre-authorizations required. We loved our experience and are confident this will be our dental office for decades to come. I highly recommend Mason Elite Dentistry to everyone!

Avoid Trailside Dental Care…read more After treatment at this office, I was left in severe pain and repeatedly asked to be evaluated by a dentist but was unable to speak with one. Instead, I was given guidance by staff while dealing with significant pain. I ultimately had to seek emergency care elsewhere, where the problem was properly resolved. In addition, I was told I needed 6-8 fillings and a crown. When I sought a second opinion, I was told that none of that work was necessary and that only one small area needed to be monitored. The difference between those two evaluations was alarming. Recommending large amounts of unnecessary dental work goes beyond poor judgment -- it's unethical. What makes this even more concerning is that the dentist at this office has been suspended by the Ohio State Dental Board and is currently practicing under probation for documented violations involving patient care. This is public information anyone can verify on the Ohio State Dental Board website. Please research carefully before choosing this office. Patients deserve to know this information when choosing a healthcare provider. This review is based on my personal experience and publicly available disciplinary records from the Ohio State Dental Board.

Second, Dr. Rogers will *not* scam you like other practices. My family went to one where they said each of my two young children (at the time) had 5-6 cavities each(!). I believe they figured they could drill into baby teeth with impunity because they'll fall out eventually anyway. We had just moved from Maryland where they had perfect teeth. Dr. Rogers quickly dispelled that prior diagnosis and said our children's teeth are perfect, and have been since thanks to her care! The office is clean and up-to-date. Highly recommend!

I appreciated that there were pictures on his website which allowed me to see that the entrance is very handicapped friendly, as this is a must for me. The doctor himself seemed very competent and friendly. After my cleaning I was not asked for money upfront. That might be because the person who usually takes payments was not there. I was shocked when I got the bill and discovered that it was over $300 AFTER Humana had paid their portion. For just a cleaning and bite wing x-rays?! But, OK, I don't generally have a lot of problems with my teeth, so I was just planning on asking to go in less often - every nine months instead of six for cleanings. Recently I was having some pain (not sure if it's sinusitis or tooth problem) so I called the office to attempt to get an appointment. I called three times a day for two days straight and only to discover that apparently they are not answering the phone anymore. I'd get a recording asking me to leave a message and they would call me back. I did that. Never got a call back. This doesn't seem like a very efficient or caring way to run a business. When I started searching for another dentist I discovered that I cannot use my Humana Insurance there anymore. Altogether not a great experience!

** DOUBLE CHECK HE'S STILL IN-NETWORK BEFORE EVERY VISIT!! Or risk hundreds of dollars in billing…read more** The office setting isn't the whole picture. Is the office nice? Yes. The front office staff, can be a bit argumentative - especially when told something seemed off (like the billing). Like many people, I have dental insurance. Incredibly good dental insurance. In 2021, when I started seeing Dr. Franz, he was in-network as verified by my insurance and his office, and was to be paid at 100% for preventative care. This office insists on billing medical insurance first, then my dental insurance after that which is odd, but okay. Come to find out nearly 3 years later, they've had billing problems BACK TO 2021 and never said anything. They weren't paid at 100% in 2021 as they should have been. But instead of calling me to inquire, they just let it sit. And sit. And sit. FOR YEARS. Then, after my cleaning today I was presented with a $600+ bill and told they would "only charge me $28 today." Then, the receptionist (Taryn) tried to charge my credit card for the full $600+ amount. Seriously?! I informed her that when I bought the dental insurance policy (in July 2021), I was told all preventative care is paid at 100% for in-network providers. Taryn said that Dr. Franz is still in-network but my insurance doesn't pay 100%. I got in the car and called the insurance company - guess what? In-network is paid at 100%, as I'd told the office. The thing is, without any notice, Dr. Franz's office dropped my dental insurer and became "out of network" in January 2022. When I called back and talked to Taryn about what the insurance said, her response was "well, I'm sure we sent you an email." No, they didn't. Needless to say I had her cancel my next 6mo appointment there and then. Like any profession, dentists and doctors have a duty to uphold a reasonable standard of business - and that's not it. If you choose this office, I'd double check that he's still in-network no less than 2 weeks right before your appointment.
