Rented for a week. It was running rough but thought it was us. Called about engine light being on but told that just happened and cart was fine. Didn't mention the roughness out of inexperience with golf cart. The one night we took it out, the lights didn't work. Called and they replaced the next day. New Cart was great and we realized the roughness experienced was not us but the cart. Asked for a one day extension due to issues. Was told we could have it for 94 dollars. We didn't report problem early enough. Wow! We asked for a ONE day extension. How frustrating! Never again. We will rent from someplace else next year as we come down every year. read more

Terrible customer service, people don't respond or are super delayed at responding. Have to text and call multiple times to get a response. Got our carts 24 hours after we were supposed to then they didn't get picked up until after we left. They still charged us full price after discussing discount for delayed service. They said they would refund and charge half price but that never happened. We got ghosted by staff and had to dispute charge in order to get a response. Owner called very apologetic and we agreed on the half price, but that took another 2-3 weeks to process then they charged full price again. I had to call yet again to argue. Owner was unavailable so staff said it would be resolved. Refund posted and re-charged but it was for more than the half price as discussed. I'm done fighting with incompetence. Don't use this company even if your Airbnb recommends them. read more

The golf carts are not in very good condition and they are way over priced. They changed the pricing at least 3 times over 4th of July week.

The young lady at the front with the red hair (of the strand location) is great. She's new but nice and friendly. Pricing: Great pricing, very affordable. Location: They have a location on the strand and one on the sea well. Very young employee and it shows. SAFETY (Covid) No one here had on mask at both locations. Originally went the the seawall location because no one answered the phone and we called the entire way down. (45 minutes of driving) There is sanitizer on the counter at the strand location. The strand location is where we end up renting at. I also have t seen anyone Wilde down the carts or anything, which sucks but we were prepared with our own wipes. Overall, because of the price you would love this place. Business practices I would give 1 STAR! There is absolutely no reason that my personal credit card information should be left on the counter top. Also, this place only shred the paperwork you complete with your personal info- once a month. Insane. The young lady with the red hair was amazing. This review is a 3 star because of her. Where to start......... Well first, we fully paid for and reserved two (6 seater) golf carts for the date we were going to be in Galveston at The Strand location since it was closest to our Air BnB. When we show up for our reservation, they only had one 6 seater and told us we would have to go to the new Sea Wall location to get the other. That's quite a distance. Asked if someone could deliver the second golf cart to The Strand and was told no we don't have anyone. We talked them in to letting us pick up both golf carts at the Sea Wall. Quite an inconvenience and cut into our time since we were only there from Friday evening to Sunday. I should have known then but....... So, we get to the other location and are given two 6 seaters and when he was going over the golf cart noticed that one of them needed gas. Told us to go to one of the other two locations to get it filled up. UGH! So now we have to stop for gas and meanwhile our group is waiting for us to come pick them up at the Air BnB. AND.......we have to return these carts back to this Sea Wall location the next day! WAY out of our way! We get on the road and notice the second golf cart can't even keep up with mine. She is several blocks down the road with the petal to the metal and nothing! So we call and complain and they tell us "Didn't you read the paperwork? There are NO REFUNDS!" So we ask if we can get a different 6 seater. Yes, they will trade it out at the Strand location. Our day has started off very frustrating! So as our day progresses with the two golf carts, my golf cart (the original fast one) slows WAY down! Now it can't keep up! UGH! We decide to go back to the house and chill for a bit. Give the crickety golf carts a rest. Early that evening we take the kids to Pleasure Pier  (takes us about 20 minutes to get to the Sea Wall each time). We are having a good time until we get to Sea Wall Blvd and turn right. The wheel gets STUCK in the turned position and we almost hit pedestrians (that crosswalk is VERY busy)! The tie rod broke! One wheel is straight and one is turned! We call the number and it instructs us to text with details if we have an issue. Guess what? NO ONE even bothers to call or text back. Now we are stranded! We ended up pushing the golf cart into a parking lot and locking it. Told our group to try and have fun while we go return the second golf cart to its location so we don't have to deal with it the next day. We are SO mad that most of our day has been dealing with these golf carts patched together with spit and glue it seems! We get to the location (down by Academy) and lock it up and put the keys in the drop box. Wait 30 min. for an Uber and go get our vehicles. There are 10 of us so we couldn't fit everyone in one vehicle. Finally get back to our group and pick them up. It has ruined our evening! The next morning we are getting ready to leave and get a call from them. We need to stop on the way out of town and drop off the keys. Oh and he tells me you will get a call from Chandler on Monday to talk about a refund. I never get a call. I proceed to call 4, 5, 6 times to speak with Chandler and he never returns a call! Nothing! So I am left with disputing the charge on my credit card. I'm even generous enough to pay for the time we had them. Stupid right?! Moral is, don't waste your time and rent from them. I just had the most terrifying experience of my life and I want to share it with you, I never want any family ever to have to deal with what my family had to deal with. At one point, I almost threw up. My husband plays golf 5 days a week. He knows how to operate golf carts. Galveston Golf Carts- Seawall. I believe the owner is a Chad Jones. The crew (at the original location we rented from 4714 Seawall) were kind. The first car we were loaded into my daughter is 10 years old and discovered herself that there were no seatbelts in the backseat. So, we were loaded into another cart. I swear to God I should have known then. We used the paper map as we were directed. The next one seemed fine, started up great. However, The car stalled completely in the middle of crossing 57th. Y'all it stalled, that was the first time.And, then again. Every.Single.Time.We.Stopped we stalled out. We almost got hit crossing out of Tremont twice. It was very clear after being in the cart that it hadn't been maintenance in sometime.We took every backroad possible to get back quickly without having to be on any main strip of traffic and ended up closer to another location of theirs. It was so bad that we decided to walk to get our car to the original location rather than driving down seawall to drop it off or get our car. They offered no assistance or new cart and the man at this location called the other that we originally picked it up at and said to not provide our family a refund and told us to talk with the owner, waiting on that return call. He was laughing at the story of how terrified we were, my daughter was in tears. He refused to acknowledge the fact there was a family that this company placed at risk. He refused to check out the vehicle or even drive it with my husband as my husband has offered to take it with him to show him. My husband did get angry and he did begin yelling after the man was clearly giggling at my family. Then, he had the audacity to say "I guarantee you wouldn't talk to me like that if I wasn't behind this desk." We signed a waiver basically saying that if we wrecked the vehicle or died or anything else it was our responsibility. I get it. Got it. But, I took note of that, I actually read it thoroughly the way it was worded was bizarre. What those papers don't protect you from is a cart that is a piece of absolute garbage. This is our first time in Galveston TX. We've spent 9 days here and up until today (the last day) we've had such a wonderful time on this little island but I wouldn't ever Galveston Golf Carts- Seawall to even my worst enemy. Should have read reviews online instead of trusting a neighbor's referral (who is probably a friend of the owner). If I had and you should, you would see that they have terrible customer service from the rudeness of the owner to all customer reviews he doesn't like. Here is our issue with their repair services, I can't speak to rentals. It took three times for them to repair our golf cart to working order. Every time they brought it back to us there was a new issue the next time we went to drive it and they wanted to charge us high fees to repair, when the first time they worked on it they claimed they had done a complete inspection, maintenance and weather protection on all systems on the vehicle including electrical. Our few year old golf cart is kept in the garage, washed down after driving and had only been driven twice since the full check and maintenance, when the latest repair had to be done to another electrical system in the fuse box when the headlights would not turn on. read more

From continuous false accusations to disrespecting me and my family it is safe to say we got the whole Galveston golf carts experience. I pride myself in my ability to work through disagreements but the owner of this sorry excuse for a business clearly lacks a moral compass and everything that comes with it. Vacation is meant to be enjoyed but it's is absolutely impossible with this absolutely unacceptable treatment at the back of my mind for the better part of this trip. Galveston Golf Cart Rentals came to my rescue. I had a guest who was physically unable to walk on the beach and I needed a golf cart to rent for one day. This was some what of a last minute visit and after making calls to other rental companies, I found out that not everyone is interested in doing a one day rental. Galveston Golf Cart Rentals delivered a beautiful cart at a very reasonable rate and my friend was able to join the group at the beach to enjoy the views and the company of others in our group. read more
