Beautiful storefront, quality gear m and excellent customer service. Got all the necessary riding gear (and a little more) with the help of a lovely associate who knew their stuff! Was in and out, under 20 mins. Spent a ton in that 20 but it was worth it- The quality and comfort will last. read more

Super service, Had exact size I needed when I was in a pinch for boots i needed that weekend. Employee also helped out with a discount when i explained how i had bought my non fitting boots at a cheaper price and was bummed a fitting pair wouldn't come in time read more

My daughter has been taking English riding lessons for several years now, and was in need of a new helmet. We had always gone to Double H in Salem, but their selection of English gear is quite limited, so we decided to try Gallops this time. We were given a friendly greeting right away when we walked in, and were given excellent help and advice with our purchase. We were pleased to see that, while Gallops has plenty of very expensive riding apparel, they also have a great selection of reasonably priced helmets, paddock boots, half chaps, and breeches. My daughter got a lesson helmet that fit her head perfectly, and we definitely plan to come back next time she's ready for other gear. read more

Nice people and high-quality products but the prices are outrageous!!!!. My daughter found a shirt there that was $94. Out of curiosity I scanned the tag using the Amazon application and found it for $39 on Amazon. Maybe due to the poor location they need to make more on every purchase but the prices are very high. Go there if you need something at the last minute... but expect to pay for the convenience read more

Gallops Saddlery - Horse Equipment Shops Near Me - Wilsonville, Oregon

Cute shop that set me up for riding success. They were very kind and welcoming. The owner stepped away to come and help me find the items I needed and was patient while we got the proper fit. She was also encouraging and I'm grateful for my experience. The prices are not as low as purchasing from third party stores online but the ease, convenience and help was well worth it. You can go and make sure you get the perfect fit, every time without worrying about sending items back etc. They can also order the items or proper size for you if they don't have it in stock, but that wasn't an issue for me. I will be back to gallops for my horse riding needs. read more

Pretty great! It's very pricey though, it's good quality so it's worth it the majority of the time. If your trying to save money, buy somewhere else. Still a good place for high quality supplies read more

For Small Business Saturday we went here to get me some gear since I am starting horseback riding lessons again and I had such a wonderful time! Patty was wonderful in assisting me with finding the right boots, chaps and helmet! She was so friendly, helpful, and honest. As I was looking around, I realized I should check about safety vests. Patty was helping another customer but Kaylyn was able to assist me and she too was wonderful. Showed me three types of vests, how they work, and even how they attach to the saddle! She too was helpful, kind, and honest! Absolutely wonderful service and such a pleasant way to spend part of the day! Highly recommend this place! Good selection of products, but honestly it was the customer service that makes it all worth it! Everyone there was great! I look forward to shopping there more in the future! read more

Jen was really helpful and did a great job of getting me all set up with breeches, half-chaps, boots and a helmet. She was very knowledgeable with the features of each product I appreciated her honest advice. I even received a thank you note in the mail a few days afterwards! Very nice ladies. Thank you! read more

I had a great experience here today. My five year old daughter has her first private lesson tomorrow and we had not yet purchased her riding gear. We called at 440 pm and asked if they could keep the store open for us even though they close at 5. We arrived past 5 and the owner helped us with our purchase. We ended up purchasing riding boots, riding pants (breeches), riding helmet, white riding short sleeve shirt and riding gloves. We were given a 30.00 discount which is their summer sale promotion. Very friendly owner and was pleased with their recommendations and efficiency. There is no way we could have done this with the same amount of time doing online purchases. Our other two kids will be here also as soon as they are old enough. read more

Sales girl chopped tags off while my daughter was trying on pants. Assuming the sale is one thing - forcing a purchase is just bad sales. (They weren't damaged - sales gal directly asked my 10 yr old if she wanted them while I was in the dressing room unavailable) Small store with nice inventory but I can find the same brands/items right down the road for far less. Disappointed to say the least. read more

Unfortunately there are limited Equestrian stores in Oregon, and fewer Saddlebred stores. My daughter likes to browse all horse wear and equipment so the closest store for us to look at is Gallops, I only wish the staff weren't so "pompous and holier than now", every time I make a purchase there I feel like the scene from Pretty Woman where I'm not privelaged enough to shop there. I made a purchase, never offered a bag and walked out of store without even a thank you for my purchase, then not even 2steps out of the store I was hollered at asked if I actually "purchased" my items, while receipt in hand --- staff should learn what customer service is, so rude and doesn't set a very good example for my 13yo Daughter. Hunter jumpers already have a hoty toty attitude they should know this doesn't help their reputation read more

I like this place. I recently got back into the sport after a 15 year hiatus so I needed new riding gear. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. I was clear that I needed a helmet, breeches, boots, and half chaps and that I wasn't necessarily looking for the cheapest, but I did have a budget. The sales woman was very conscious of my needs and I left very happy. I have gone back one more time and again, great customer service. I needed riding gloves and also recommendation on different riding breeches as I wasn't completely happy with the fit on my other pair. I again made clear what my budget was and what I was looking for and was given 3 or 4 options. I left again very happy. I'm sure I COULD get things cheaper online, but there are just some things that you need to touch and try on. I will be going back here for my riding needs for sure! read more

Love this place!! Even though it's small they have a lot of great stuff! I pretty much go there EVERY weekend

Solid inventory for the English rider. They will special order items and carry seasonal items. They will allow you to try saddles on for fit. Can carry them hope to try on the horse and will take them back if not a good fit. Gallops carries a wide selection of items in many levels of quality. Can get amazing quality stuff as well as everyday lesser quality items. Great grooming supplies and riding clothing. Also good for custom boots. read more

Gallops is one of my favorite tack shops in the area. I've been able to find most of what I need there, and the employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. I've bought several pairs of boots, breeches, gloves, and half-chaps, and in every event, they've been right there to help me find and fit exactly what I wanted. One thing to note- they are expensive. Don't expect to walk out without spending $50-100. But, with that in mind, the majority of the products they sell are first rate, and the service justifies the cost. The only reason why this isn't a five star review is because they don't stock a few highly specialized products that I was looking for, and because when I asked for a pair of men's sized spur straps, they sold me a pair that were WAY too long (I should have double checked, but still, they were practically the length of a bridle flash). Additionally, a VERY limited number of products are of mediocre construction (their collection of lunging cavessons, surcingles, and side reins were all from a company that I've found to be of questionable quality). That said, galloping boots, bridles, reins, bits, girths, saddles, and all other pieces of hardware are top notch. I even found a pair of flat reins that were the exact width and thickness I wanted! Even still, they are helpful, professional, and know their craft. Their focus seems to be more on the hunter/jumper side of the horse world, which is a little irritating for a mostly-dressage rider like me, but I can't fault them for that. Also, it's hard not to love being a tack store that has men's sized full-seat breeches that are below $100. I refer all of my students to Gallops. Well worth a visit to the area. read more

We had a great time, great sales and the best of the Equipement is here as well! Helpful staff steered us in the right direction!

I am in love with this place. Great selection, awesome customer service, and no snobby attitude! They carried more of the high end goods I was looking for than Olson's in Seattle and yet had a much more laid back atmosphere. Honestly, I wish I could pick this place up and move it closer to me. There is some marking up from online prices, but no sales tax, so that's a plus in my opinion. read more

I love going to Gallops for english tack. Sure, some of it may be on the pricey side, but if you really look around there are great deals to be had. Their return policy is straight forward, I have had to exchange items and did not have any problems. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Their location is ideal for those who live in Portland and not on the outskirts of town. I wish their supplement section was a little more broad, but then again, it is not a feed store. I highly recommend Gallops for english showing and schooling equipment! read more

Gallops is my go-to tack shop - serving eventers, they carry a wide variety of items for jumping, cross country, and dressage. The selection is broad and customer service outstanding. They can order pretty much anything, and will match prices. They also carry most of the basic sundries I need (salt, fly spray, brushes) at fair prices. read more

Gallops is a well respected English riding, tack and supplies store. They, like most equestrian stores, will special order for you. Gallops carries some items of their own brand. My favorite bridle is a Gallops brand bridle and it's holding up beautifully. They have some wonderful used saddles too. read more

A bit pricey but, I go here often. Although it is small, there is a lot of options and I bought a saddle here. I go here often and I have bought many articles of clothing, gloves, breeches, show clothes, crops, Woof Wear boots, and much more. I really like it here read more

Great product, Great service...Love the Gallops Gals! They are friendly, knowledgable and fun while providing AWESOME service!!

Even though this is a small place I have really enjoyed going there, it is nice going to a place that only has English tack. The staff there are very helpful and have steered me in the right direction for purchases. The only downfall is that it is a bit pricey, but I know that I am getting good quality. read more

The "go to" store for english riding supplies. Quality products. The sales staff is always warm and friendly! and knowledgeable. No pressure sales, even a selection of inexpensive gifts like stationary or baseball caps. This store carries a wide variety of products ,so it is hard to keep all sizes of things in stock. They are more than happy to order whatever you want in.Overall an awesome store, just wish it was bigger. read more
