Delightfully situated in the heart of Palencia is La Gollofa, a bakery featuring baked goods, coffees,handmade breads, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. This is certainly a popular stop for families, groups and couples. Nearly every seat was taken. There are many tables varying in size, as well as booths. The decor near the seating area is foliage. It's much like eating in a garden patio. I ordered a little sandwich with ham and cheese. The bread is perfectly prepared and fresh! Not too hard or too soft. The ham tastes amazing! The coffee was excellent. They have a great streamlined system for lines, so although long, move quickly. The glass food enclosure is full of delicious handmade goods including cakes and breads.
