I noticed in June, 2018 that the generator was not coming on when the grid went down, and I called Mr. Hines. He came out in early July and told me that there was a leaky gasket that was on back-order. By early Sept, the unit was still not working, although it had a 5-year warranty. I called Kohler and found out that Mr. Hines is not trained or approved by Kohler to install, service or repair their generators. Lucky for me, his dealer in NJ had submitted for the warranty. I called an approved Kohler electrician who visited and said there was a wiring error from the unit to the house panel. Mr. Hines continues to deny any responsibility on his part and blames the non-working generator on a back-ordered part at Kohler. What a fraud!

From the onset, they showed up on time on Wednesday to assess my needs and provided a very competitive and detailed price quote within hours. They were knowledgeable about the product (not a Tesla) and explained thoroughly what the project entailed. They would be able to do it that Saturday (which was very convenient for me). They arrived early morning on time and spent the entire day snaking the cabling to the garage and moving around some circuit breakers to accommodate the new line. After hooking up the charger they asked me to plug it into my car. Of course, there were issues because the QR code on the charger linking it to my account wasn't working. He did a complete walk through of the interior of my house to assess for any roof leakage and then went right to work on the exterior roof structure. He took several pictures and explained to me that my roof was leaking in several places. He asked if I wanted it repaired right then and there to prevent further damage until I could secure a roof replacement. I agreed and he immediately went back up and repaired any areas that needed it. He explained everything he was going to do and also took pictures of the work finished. He was also very reasonably priced. I had spoken to other companies who provided appraisal services and they were expensive and none of them offered any type of temporary repairs to prevent further damage. Day one, was pretty good, two guys started the job, but were not able to complete in one day. One of the "day one guys" informed me that he doesn't normally work my area, and would not be returning to complete the job. I was informed that they would send someone with matched skills. When they day arrived to complete the job, they sent one of the original guys, who had already admitted that he wasn't very experienced in cabinet installs, and more or less, followed the lead of the experienced guy. The second guy looked like a high school student, so I thought, ok, you cant judge a book by it's cover. However, when the first challenge arose, he had no clue as how to deal with it. He literally just stood there and scratched his head. He really didn't have a clue!! Well the inexperienced cabinet guy had to take charge, and I will let the pictures speak for the work.
