The pulpo ruined the experience because it tasted like paper with oil and lemon and the texture felt like it's been dead in the fridge for 4 days. We also ordered a carafe of sangria. My shrink advised me never to repress my feelings so as much as I don't want to talk about it anymore, i have to say it: it's boxed wine with 2 ice cubes and a sad amount of "fruit" slices. Don't ask.

For tapas, we ordered roasted pablano peppers, bacon-wrapped dates, the fried potatoes with spicy sauce, mussels in a spicy tomato sauce, and fried calamari with garlic aioli. I also ordered the jamon iberico because I was curious to try it. Peppers: Good. Could use a tad more salt. Bacon-wrapped dates: YUM. Fried potatoes: they were good, but I've had better. Mussels: Do not recommend. They were rubbery tasting, and the sauce didn't pair that well. Fried Calamari: Very good. Jamon Iberico: So good, I ordered a second plate and went home feeling a tad...gluttonous... So yep, all in all, I'd recommend this place. Service was friendly, if a bit accident prone that evening (glassware crashed to the floor twice in the two hours we were there). I'd go back!

You can find all the traditional dishes, such as 'patatas bravas' and 'chorizo'. But don't forget to check the great seafood options, such as the octopus and the scallops (some of the highlights of the night). I wish I could find a larger selection of Spanish wines to keep my illusion of being in the Spanish coast, but there's a reasonable selection by the glass or bottle. I highly recommend Ponte for a nice Spanish experience in Frankfurt. First of all, don't think about popping in without having a reservation, and even after making a reservation, our party of 3 were forced to squeeze into a table for 2, which was not comfortable. At that point, we should have left, but nostalgia kept us hoping we'll have a better experience. Unfortunately, from then on, the service (or lack thereof) kept getting worse. We asked for a refill of bread that never came, and when we asked the wait staff about it, she simply told us that as she didn't take the order for the bread, she'll need to check with her coworker - really over some bread?!? Although the food was tasty as I remembered, the terrible service deters me from returning to Andalucia again.
