There's a huge selection of restaurants to check out. We checked out different menus and actually sat in one spot and left when we realized it was vegetarian. There's music coming from different restaurants and the area is bustling. Definitely a regular area to eat, drink and chill when you're in the Santiago area.

Plus, they sell some amazing imported Chinese snacks! Besides all of the cool and unusual things you can find here, you can also come by some awesome deals on really useful stuff such as shoes, clothing and home decor. Everything is very reasonably priced. They also sell sell phone covers and protectors, DVD's and all types of natural foods and even ribbons and cloth to make your own creations! If you get hungry, at the top floor there is a very simple food court with a couple of Chinese restaurants. The sign on the outside of their building really does ring true: Bueno, Bonito y Barato (good, pretty and cheap).

No longer lined with stores just focused on Peruvians, this street has transformed into a melting pot of many different ethnicities. At the end of the first block, you will find an entrance to a bustling gallery lined with people standing around either talking with one another or on their cell phones. As you walk in, you will notice the many different restaurants, stores and call centers (the bottom floor of the "caracol" is made up of "cafe con piernas" and small strip clubs). I started coming here because there is a Peruvian minimarket that used to sell great quinoa for an even better price (however, due to the Quinoa crisis prices have risen so high that they no longer can carry it) but now, we come for the occasional meal at one of the many Peruvian or Colombian restaurants (all have amazing prices and good food). You can even find a "menu del dia" for 1.700 it includes juice, soup and a main dish. Unfortunately, I tried to take a picture to help guide you guys to the best stores and restaurants in the gallery but the guard told me I wasn't allowed to since many of the workers and clients are immigrants. I will update with the names of the different restaurants and minimarket I mentioned.

We visited the Jumbo grocery store on the bottom floor for all our basic needs. They have a wide selection of American brand stores like GAP, old navy & Starbucks and also their own department stores like Ripley (similar to a Macys). This mall does have a small souvenir kiosk on the very bottom floor where we found key chains and magnets. Other than that there were no other stores we could find that sold Chile souvenirs. The restrooms were clean also. At the food court area, the workers would wipe the tables and empty the full trash bins. They were working efficiently. No matter your budget, you can find something reasonable. For Uber, the pick up spot is near the Hard Rock Cafe entrance.
Barrio Patronauto, the Patronauto neighborhood is like a gigantic Forever 21. The history of…read morePatronato is actually really interesting. It is the Palestine neighborhood in Santiago and became known as the main area for buying inexpensive clothing. This is because before the neighborhood became a major commercial area the people living there would hang their clothes out to dry. Other people would come and ask to buy the clothes that were out in the open. This is how the neighborhood became known. Today when you venture into the Patronato neighborhood you will see streets and streets of an outdoor clothing mall. You can find everything in Patronato, from sweaters, shocks, shirts, jackets, really anything. There are also lots of fun Arabic restaurants to enjoy lunch in the middle of your shopping adventure.
