I was standing right there, and timed it. The technician said the warranty would not cover the service. The fee is always $75.00. He went on to tell me that if he wanted me to fix it they could easily be do it, BUT it would cost 75.00 plus $250.00. I called a competitor, explaining to him what was happening, and he told me that that was RIDICULOUS! I agreed. At that point, I had no choice but to give him the $75.00 for absolutely nothing! I asked him to leave my house. Talk about milking it! The technician failed to access the problem properly, and he knew very well that in El Paso with our hell-hot temperatures, we are hostages! We have no choice but to pay! Well, too bad! I was not going to pay it! I made an appointment with another company, and I know it is not going to cost that much! I do not recommend this business whatsoever! UPDATE: We hired a REPUTABLE company to determine what's wrong with the AC unit. Contrary to what Diaz is claiming, they were able to conclusively diagnose the problem without requiring us to pay the exorbitant amount for a "thorough cleaning" that Diaz kept demanding. The unit will need parts replaced, as it is very old, but it was not necessary to pay a large amount of money for "cleaning" in order to find that out, like Diaz was demanding. This company is just out to take your money. DO NOT HIRE THEM! Beware!
