After the party food there was a circle/ parachute time which was engaging and led by the employees in a fun, nurturing nature. Unethical Business Practices & Health Hazards - Avoid This Gym!…read more Powerhouse Gym Nanuet is an absolute scam when it comes to membership cancellations. I followed their contract terms exactly, sending a certified letter with a doctor's note confirming I could no longer use the gym for medical reasons (exceeding 6 months). Instead of honoring their own policy, they became completely evasive--ignoring my emails, dodging my calls, and refusing to provide any response. To make matters worse, Nicole, the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to resolve this after finally getting in touch with her. Instead of assisting me, she was dismissive and unhelpful. Beyond their shady business practices, the sauna has visible wood rot and decay (or mold), and since joining, I've had two fungal infections--something I've never dealt with before. Given these conditions and experiences, I'm filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the New York State Health Board to hold them accountable. Since they kept charging me despite my cancellation request, I had no choice but to dispute the charges and block payments through my credit card company. If you're thinking of joining this gym--don't. Their lack of ethics, poor management, and unsanitary conditions make this a terrible choice. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that values its members.

Extremely important to me because I am in healthcare. But the #1 thing about this place are their workers. Super friendly, helpful and caring. I spoke to one of their trainer's, winter. Rare you find people this knowledgeable. I belong to a place back home and having this place to compare to puts my gym back home to shame. And the fees are very reasonable. 6 stars if I could
