La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. Cinnamon Shore has so much potential to provide an exceptional vacation experience, and I hope management continues investing in the operational side of the resort to match the beauty of the property itself.

Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.

When we arrived in Port Aransas we found the office quickly and easily. Melissa greeted us with a big smile and we were also greeted by a very sweet Barney (the mascot I think). She asked if we wanted to stay another night for free and the weekend was officially perfect. The room was exactly as we expected and described. The bed was so comfortable we got one for our home. The salt water above ground pool was relaxing and cool after a long day of food, drink, and beach. We have returned every year for the past five years. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous. Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

The home is advertised as a higher-end Port Aransas vacation rental with amenities such as a private pool and hot tub, but what we experienced did not match what we felt was represented when booking. During our stay, we encountered numerous problems: * Pool was not working and was not clean * Hot tub did not work * Outside stair handle was broken * Back door handle was broken, and doors did not properly work or lock * Master bathroom toilet would not flush properly * Downstairs toilet was loose/wobbly and did not flush properly * Back sliding door would not lock at all * Broken chair on the patio * Wasp nests around the patios * Trash around the perimeter of the property * Refrigerator would not shut properly and the light did not work * Dishwasher smelled terrible * Open cereal/food was left in the cabinets * Most concerning, bunk-bed steps came loose while a child was climbing them Some of these are inconveniences, but others are legitimate safety and security concerns, especially doors that do not lock and bunk-bed steps failing while a child is using them. When families spend their hard-earned money on a vacation rental, especially one advertised at this level, they should reasonably expect the major amenities to work and the property to be clean, secure, and properly maintained. The location has a lot of potential, but based on the condition we experienced, we cannot recommend 845 Park Place in Port Aransas without significant improvements being made. Our biggest disappointment wasn't that one or two things went wrong -- things happen. It was the number of problems throughout the property and the feeling that many of them should have been caught before guests were ever allowed to check in.

This time around my sister and brother in law and thier kids also came along for the first time. Becky the property manager greeted us as we arrived at our 4pm check-in. She explained everything in detail and walked us through the cabin and made us feel very welcomed. The unique one story cabins are arranged in a horseshoe configuration and are named according to their theme, and in the middle a beautiful courtyard is shared with gueats. We actually stayed in their latest newly remodeled two story cabin called The Marlin. It's located right next to the main property. At night it's very safely lit and your vechicals are parked under the structure. It sleeps 10 with two full baths and all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a second story large balcony and a small third story balcony as well. Access to the beach is at walking distance or a short drive. After hurricane Harvey the cabins sustained damage and there was even a waterline marker when the storm surge came in. After alot of hard work and tireless vollenteers the newly remodeled cabins are better than ever. Becky was even kind enough to show us inside The Rock and Roll cabin and the remarkable improvements they made. The Dancing Dunes is highly recommend which ever cabin you stay in. My family rented through "Port A Escapes"for what was supposed to be my birthday trip. During our stay, my 5 year-old daughter dropped something behind a nightstand and found a small container that she thankfully brought directly to me. When I opened it, it smelled strongly of marijuana and contained a waxy residue. As a parent, that was alarming for several reasons... 1.) There were four young children staying in the home. I am incredibly thankful my daughter brought it to an adult instead of opening it further or putting it in her mouth. Had that happened, this could have been a very different situation. 2.) We also had two dogs that could have easily found this. 3.) This was a spot that should have been cleaned prior to our arrival? As we continued looking around the property, we also found old food, including a Pop-Tart shoved in the couch, trash under furniture, and other cleanliness issues. While those things are frustrating, I understand mistakes happen. What I cannot overlook is what appeared to be drug paraphernalia being left behind in a home that advertises thorough cleaning and inspections. My original email to Port A Escapes simply explained what we found and why I was concerned.. I never requested a refund. I wanted accountability and reassurance that this would be taken seriously. I wanted to speak to someone in a management position about this. To their credit, they refunded the cleaning fee and offered to send someone to the property to re clean. We had already cleaned everything up at that point. However, what truly disappointed me was being accidentally included on an internal email chain in which Savannah McGrath, Director of Operations, described me as "unreasonable" and stated that "basically what she's after is a refund." ON MY BIRTHDAY. As a mother, I find that response from a director of operations extremely concerning.. and highly un professional. To suggest I'm being unreasonable or simply looking for a refund after my 5-year-old found what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in your rental is incredibly insulting. We travel to the coast 6-7 times every year and have rented numerous vacation homes over the years. Never have we experienced anything like this, nor have we ever felt so dismissed for raising a legitimate safety concern involving children. Some of our family members with children were uncomfortable enough with the situation that they chose to leave DAYS early. What should have been a relaxing family birthday trip ended with disappointment and concern. Port A Escapes has permanently lost our business. I hope they take situations like this more seriously in the future, because the next family's outcome may not be as fortunate as ours.

Several were up for sale. There was a community pool with close walking distance. We never used it, but it seemed nice. The best part was the proximity to the beach. In my opinion, it was too far from both Port A and Corpus Christi, but overall I was upset by it. Just had to have designated drivers in place since we were on vacation and had 11 of us altogether. It's almost pitch dark on the road at night and there aren't many passing zones with it being a 2-lane highway. Find your group and have a good time, y'all!

The property is RIGHT on the beach! Plenty of rooms to choose from. You can book a one bedroom condo and add two additional (attached) one bedroom efficiencies which also have bathrooms, kitchen appliances and a full refrigerator. Great for large groups. Everyone can stay together and still have privacy. They also have laundry facilities on site and in some of the condos. AND they welcome dogs! $25 per dog per night. We had boarded our dogs. Next time they are coming with us! The property is within walking distance to a restaurant too. Great HEATED pool and jacuzzi as well. Special shout out to MIRANDA who assisted us with finding the right room for a return visit. Coordinated with other staff to show us three options for our next stay in May. Our plan was to spend four days and do the usual fishing, shopping, relaxing, and dining at seafood restaurants on the island and mainland. Upon arrival, we found the property very neat and clean. The air conditioning was on and the temperature was a cool 72 degrees. The rental is centrally located within an easy two minute walk to gift shops, convenience store, fast food, and a pharmacy. It all looked great until .................. I attempted to connect a laptop computer to the WiFi. I called The Port A Beach House Company to obtain a password. I was given a password over the phone that did not work. After some confusion about which available network was usable, I called back and obtained the correct password. The WiFi signal was very weak to non-existent and remained so for our entire stay. I discovered that the property managers lived in the house right next to our rental. The WiFi router was located in their house. That fact certainly explained the very weak WiFi signal and my inability to consistently remain connected to the internet. I would advise future guests to check beforehand and ask if a WiFi booster/repeater/extender has been installed in the actual rental unit. Later in the evening of the first night I discovered there was no television reception. A closer examination of the entertainment cabinet found no cable box of any kind. No local cable box or satellite receiver unit of any kind. All three Roku televisions in the residence are completely dependent on a strong WiFi signal for streaming. So, obviously, we had no television viewing during our four-day visit. If all you desire is a clean, comfortable, nicely located rental in Port Aransas ...... This is a nice choice. However, if you wish to use the internet or watch television ...... Go somewhere else.
