I went to this hotel with Mrs G because she had an Entrepreneur meeting there (I was not part of it) and I was the driver and chaperone :) I had planned to go out to dinner (she was having dinner at her meeting in the hotel. I had planned to drive somewhere to eat but this hotel is quite a way out of town - so I decided to eat in - I am glad that I did! My dinner was very good and well worth the money. Main course a decent curry and I spoiled myself with an apple crumble with extra custard . All good - pics attached. The price of the popcorn and drinks is a complete rip off like the rest, the price of a ticket seems to go up every other month. Was it really that long ago tickets were only £3.50? The cinema has always had a funny sort of smell to it that its had since it first opened and its still there. Its generally clean and the staff are well mannered. They do occasionally seem to leave the air conditioning on for too long and once the volume of a film was too low but they were happy to correct this. They also run the insiders club that gives free preview movies and newsletters, so well worth signing up to. I'm usually there at least once a month and besides the 'being ripped off' Its a good place to go to watch a film!

The prices are reasonable for a working mens club as always you could prbably find drinks around the same prices eleswhere too. Convinenet and generally nice inside. Could do with a little update but nothing too major. Have seen karoke here a few times and is a real laugh!! Defintaely worht going to for birthdays as well as they do really good ones. They also have a bar at the far left end of the place. Next to that is the quazar, which is a run a round laser tag game, where crystal maze once was. If you go at the weekend you cannot book, but instead queue to get a lane. Once booked in you get your super trendy bowling shoes one, and someone always gets the velcro trainers, NICE!. From here its off to the lane and time to use the oh so easy peasy name entering machine, or not! They somehow make this the challenge sometimes they work and its easy other times they dont and you have to get someone to enter names from the desk. Then there is the bumpers which are now supposed to be registered to each player. So if someone wnats them up or down they will change automatically for the specific person. Which is very clever. Prices are as steep as ever, £10.50 for two games, but if there are enough of you you can get it cheaper. So for a laugh and good fun bowling is defo the place to be at!
