I have been a loyal customer of All About Eyes for several years and have always appreciated their…read moregood service, but my visit yesterday was completely unacceptable. When we walked in, three employees were sitting around chatting. Not a single person stood up to greet us or offer assistance while we browsed for frames. In past visits here--and at other optical shops--staff have actively helped find styles to match what I need. It is especially frustrating that the store limits weekend hours citing staffing shortages, yet when staff are present, they show no interest in doing the work. Given this sharp decline in customer care, I am seriously questioning whether to return or take my business elsewhere.

When we moved to Chillicothe nearly 2 years ago, we were in search of an eye doctor that our whole…read morefamily could go to. Lori Sarver at Village Eye Care was the only one in Chillicothe that was in our network. She was able to schedule us so our whole family (4 of us) could come in at the same time and get our eye exams. Other placed I had inquired about could only get us in maybe 2 at a time, if that. Resulting in 2-3 trips to peoria just for the exams, and then again to pick up glasses and contacts. Huge time saver! They are also usually able to get is in within a week of us calling to make an appointment, and their is usually a very short wait time if any to see the doctor. Dr. Sarver is an amazing! She is very thorough, as well as patient and friendly. I know it can be hard trying to get kids to cooperate, but she was patient and made them feel comfortable with her, as she joked with them. She truly made us all feel like we are important and our buisness truly matters to her. She has gone above and beyond for our family, in my opinion. Having 2 boys (ages 7 and 11) who both wear glasses, we tend to have frequent "accidents" and she works with us to get them fixed as quickly as she possible can. I have recommended her to family and friends. Those who have gone to her have been very happy and will continue to go to Village Eye Care. Before choosing Lori Sarver as our eye care doctor, I read reviews as many people do. I have seen several low reviews, not based on her or her services, but based on a former receptionist. When we first went to her, the older woman people talk about in the reviews was the receptionist there. I can that during my encounters with her she could occasionally come off as "less than friendly" or a tad impatient, but for the most part I had little issues and having a great doctor like Lori made me look past that. Currently, there is a new receptionist who is wonderful! Very patient and friendly. With a pair like this woman and Lori Sarver, I don't think you can find a more welcoming office. So if you have had a bad experience in the past or are looking for a new eye doctor, I would definitely recommend giving Village Eye Care a chance (or second chance)!

After paying my water bill at City Hall I noticed Village Eye Care and thought I would support a local business. Big mistake! Briefest review: Unprofessional and incompetent Just some basic unequivocal observations of my experience. Dr. Lori has difficulty properly calibrating eye prescriptions. Dr. Lori has repeatedly and casually cursed in front of 11-year-old children. Dr. Lori has required a patient to make several trips to her office and still provided inaccurate contact prescriptions. Village Eye Care will recharge patients for their ineptitude as a proper business practice.
