She is smart and intelligent, and insightful. I highly recommend her. Best I've found so far.

Reasons why I think Dr. Radkowsky is a great couples therapist:…read more --We've gone from sniping & irritability to enjoying being together. --We're no longer angry at each other most of the time --When we do get angry, it's usually easy to quickly calm down --I am becoming way more resilient and less prone to getting annoyed (and I think my spouse is, too!) Michael helped us see how we were basically spinning our tires in a snowbank. Lots of energy, frustration, smoke, and burnt rubber getting nowhere. Now we're transforming our occasionally tense marriage into a solid relationship that's also relaxed: we have room to be ourselves, get a lot of what we want, and aren't trying to control or be controlled by each other. Whew! Michael is a very approachable, normal guy. We're extremely comfortable talking to him. (Smart, too). One other thing I like is that I've been mildly depressed for a while and that has cleared up as we've been working with Michael. Though most of the focus is on the two of us we also talk about/look at individual issues and that has been very productive. Finally: close to Metro!! I'm glad my excellent physician (who I also gave a great review to!) referred us.

I could write a 1,000,000 word essay on how wonderful Michael has been for me personally and how he…read morehas helped me transform the way i relate to myself, my family, and my friends but even that wouldn't give you a glimpse on how great he really is. I started seeing him after a horrible breakup from an abusive partner, and now almost a year later I feel stronger and more confident then I ever have. Michael has a way of making you feel so comfortable that it allows you to just pour out what you are thinking and then he helps you backtrack it to understand what it really means. But most importantly how you can work to deal with it in a different way that is healthy and productive. Lastly- its just refreshing to be able to have a therapist who is also queer and knows the in's and out's of our culture. Where I can make a comment about being a bear and him just know what I'm referring too. As our community moves more towards assimilation- its good to be in a queer space and feel free.

I could not be happier with the couples counseling my boyfriend and I got here. Guttman & Pearl…read morewere strongly recommended to us by our previous therapist, who was helpful but we couldn't seem to make any real progress as a couple without her to babysit us. After requesting premarital counseling and describing our relationship situation to Dr Pearl, she suggested that we see Dr Sarah Gubits, an associate at her office who not only specialized in couples therapy, but had Saturday availability. Every session we had was extremely challenging, but refreshing as we learned how to communicate with each other. Dr Gubits was there to guide the discussion, rather than chime in with over-analysis; she was there to calm us down and feel comfortable around each other to talk about anything. I suppose going to therapy was like going to the gym - it was hard to get off the couch and know you'll face certain pain, yet afterward you feel rewarded for the struggles you faced together. The sessions were very expensive, as imago generally is, but they were very accomodating with insurance and billing. It was worth skipping our usual Friday night dates, as we felt so much stronger and closer as a couple than any fancy dinner date could.

I went for individual counseling here and had a wonderful experience. She gave me the information and skills that I was missing but was very supportive, understanding and affirming of who I am already! I can't recommend this place enough.
