I was looking for last minute headshots to update my website before attending a conference. I got quotes from a few photographers and studios, but Gabriel was the only one who gave me a vibe that he was willing to make it happen for me on a tight deadline. He was prompt and thoughtful with his responses to my follow up questions. On the day of, he showed up with his warm personality and just knocked it out of the park!! Although I wanted outdoor photos, because it was windy, Gabriel got in as many outdoor shots as he could and then suggested we move indoors so I could really get the results I was looking for. After moving indoors, he made sure I had a full session with enough options to really make the session worth it for me. He's someone who truly cares about your experience. He was personable, accommodating, and genuinely a great person to hang out with for a couple hours. I went through two other photographers before finding Gabe. He was able to make me look great and I highly recommend! Take my advice: working with him is worth the money! I gained a bit of weight during the pandemic and needed to get my professional, corporate pictures done. I had hired another photographer off of Facebook, but the photos came out awful. It was affordable, but I couldn't use ANY pictures. Later, my firm hired a professional photographer and I had my pictures taken and they all came out terrible. I had even had my hair professionally done and it still was terrible. Finally, I decided to put in the money to hire my own photographer (Gabe) to try to get one picture I could use. I found Gabe on Yelp and what drew me to him was a Yelp review by another person who was also plus sized, but looked FANTASTIC! Gabe did a wonderful job! We did many photos at his studio (in his apartment) and then did several photos outside. It was nice to have both options because of the summer heat and wind. He was professional and has a great eye. The photo shoot was about 90 minutes to 2 hours. I looked amazing in so many photos! He had proofs ready for me that evening. I also asked for a few more and he sent additional options. I included the two I used, but I have a few other good ones that I really loved. I plan on coming back to him for new photos once I lose my pandemic weight. I needed a photographer for my 30th Birthday trip to New York. I put a request out for quotes and Gabriel was prompt to respond. I was in a slight panic as a previous photographer that I booked turned out to be a scammer. I was planning months ahead and he was very accommodating and communitive through the whole planning. He was open to the idea of what I wanted the shoot to be and welcomed the experience. Gabriel emphasized that he usually does self tapings and this shoot would be something different for him. I wanted my shoot to be outdoors, with the idea of an exploratory shoot through the city with focusing on NYC Times Square. He suggested this amazing park venue called little Island on pier 55 and we continued the shoot from there. Gabriel was upfront with pricing and no hidden fees, I was able to secure my booking with him some time later after we spoke. During the shoot Gabriel made my partner and I very comfortable and he gave great direction while shooting. It was more like we were being toured through the city as well as having a photo shoot. I felt like a model going on "Go See's" through the city. This was the highlight of my week in New York celebrating my 30th birthday.
