I called and originally spoke to the owner he seemed really nice He told me to bring it in unfortunately when I got there, he wasn't there there was another guy there I can't even use the word gentleman. This guy was far from a gentleman. He was so rude. I know people have bad days, but don't take it out on a customer. I don't know what it could've been, but he was just so rude and nasty. I dropped the car anyway because from what was told they do good work so he calls and tells me what's wrong with the car he knew I couldn't get the car done till Thursday. They said that wasn't a problem but when my daughter got there to pick up the car, she said he was so nasty because she asked for the estimate stating what was wrong with it and how much it was going to cost she said he literally went off on her and said that they don't have a computer They don't do that,he told me ok the phone that I need a front and rear axle and brakes. So I brought-it for a second opinion to another mechanic 2004 Toyota Solara does not have a rear axle. He wanted to charge me for a front and a rear axle and there is no rear axle. What's up with that now I'm grateful he was rude. I would've never bought it to another mechanic and I would've been paying for something that didn't exist. read more

Honest. Reliable. The Only Place I'll Bring My Car. Just picked up my car from Gabe's Auto Repair again -- and once again, I'm blown away by Charlie's honesty and expertise. I brought it in with a noise in the front end that I was convinced was a bad wheel bearing or joint. I was mentally prepared to drop several hundred dollars on a repair. Turns out? It wasn't either -- just needed a simple fabrication around my bumper. Total cost? $40. Car's running perfectly. And this isn't a one-time thing. This is probably the fifth or sixth time I've come to Gabe's thinking I had a major issue, only to be told the real fix was much simpler and cheaper than expected. One example that really stuck with me: My daughter was told by the Mazda dealership she needed front and rear brakes, rotors, the whole job -- quoted over $1,000. I brought it to Charlie at Gabe's... he took a look and told me, "She just needs front brake pads." That kind of honesty is rare. I truly can't recommend this place highly enough. my mother went to Gabe's to get her heat fixed while finding out her hub was no good she decided to have him fix that as well. when she picked up her car the brakes went to the floor only to find out from another shop that the wrong hub was forced on causing her brakes to low to the ground and axel broken. The piece he ordered for the heat wasn't the reason for the heat not working. she paid over $600 for no heat and needing to shell out even more money to replace her hub,axel, and brakes . save your time and money not worth it. read more

The metal piece of my back bumper had popped out, disabling my parking assist sensors and Gabe personally popped everything back in and gave really great, solid advice on how to clean the black scuffs off and where to get a new metal piece. I want to start off by saying Gabe as a person is great! Then I want to say Gabe's Auto is a great business. I was having issues with my car a couple years back, the dealership I got the car from told me that it would cost me thousands to get my car fixed because my warranty ran out a couple of days earlier. I was so shocked but I had no choice, or so I thought. I told my friend about it and she passed the name Gabe to me and his number. When I called Gabe's Auto a wonderful woman named Tina picked up and greeted me. She gave the phone to Gabe and I told him the issue I was having with my car. Gabe was honest and funny at the same time when he explained what it could be, he asked me to bring my car by with my dealership report and he would look at it. Gabe explained that the dealer was overcharging me on part and of course labor. Gabe asked me to pick up the parts and he would repair it cheaper. Gabe worked on my car and got it running but was honest when he told me there was something the dealer could only do. He sent me to a better dealer that worked on my car. All said and done I paid less from Gabe and the dealer he sent me to, then I would have been charged form my original dealer. I trust Gabe so much I take my car to him whenever I have issues now. These guys are REAL mechanics! After taking my wife's 1979 Firebird to 3 different places to get it fixed, we got back an assortment of possible "solutions" as to why the car wasn't running right. None of them ever fixed it. Gabe listened to it and said it sounds like the timing was off. It wasn't just off; it was WAY off! The engine has a racing cam and that was never considered when they worked on the timing belt. Gabe identified the issue and fixed it in under 15 minutes! He didn't even charge me! His prices are super fair and he is a friendly guy. I will be bringing all of our cars there from this point forward. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. read more

Really nice guys in this shop, and they're very professional. I started my morning looking to get an oil change at 8:30am; I unfortunately couldn't leave my truck at the shop today. The shop down the road wasn't very helpful and told me to come back another time. I decided to try this shop and I was really glad I did. I was greeted with a good morning and they took my truck in pretty much right away. The waiting area is clean which is a bonus. I would defiantly recommend them to others. read more

I would not recommend going here! They try to get you to pay. I got my car towed there bc it wouldn't start. The guy checked it out and the lady at the front desk said it would cost 25 dollars to take it back without getting any work done. Or it would be 110 to get the battery replaced. I called my other mechanic who installed the battery and they told me the battery is under a warranty. Gabe's auto installed the battery, WHICH WAS FREE (because it got replaced by the warranty...someone from the battery company went so far as to go drop it off at their shop) and they charged me 85 dollars. The lady at the front desk said that is their hourly fee and she made it seem like she did me a favor bc they don't install inventory that is not theirs. So apparently these people install batteries that are really cheap at 25 dollars. OR they just overcharge you if you are under a warranty and you don't use their inventory. I would get your car worked on elsewhere. My parents have been going to them and I specifically got my car towed there because my parents recommended it to me, but NEVER again. My parents lost all trust in them as well and won't be going back either. Hate dishonest businesses. read more

I got my timing belt and water pump replaced here 2 years ago for my Honda Civic. A month after I got it done my car started overheating and I got it towed back there. Three guys looked under the hood and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I got the fan switch replaced, radiator, thermostat and other parts replaced not thinking it be the water pump that was the problem because I had just gotten it done there. However, two years later after replacing every other part the water pump was in fact the problem. Also, the timing belt they did the new place I went to cannot believe it was done 2 years ago because of how mangled it was. DO NOT RECOMMEND this place they could have destroyed my car with the cheap parts and/or bad work they did to my car. read more

Worst customer service ever! Went about 6 months ago for an inspection. I showed up without an appointment and was told by Gabe that he didn't want to waste his time on my car. He said it wouldn't pass with the tint. I told him it would, I'm here can you try. So after persuading him he does it and it passed everything fine no problem. All the while with him telling me how his corvette is so mush faster then my car. When I went to pay with my debit card he asks me to go across the street to the ATM and pay him cash instead. So, I do it, give him the money and he sticks it in his pocket! Now my other car is due for inspection and I decide to give him another shot. Trying to support local business. I called yesterday and talked to his wife who says after 5 is a better time to come in. Today I call and Gabe answers. I ask to make an appointment after 5 and remind him who I was from last time. His response is, what do I think I waits here to do an inspection? It's probably another "fancy car" too right? You don't come here for me to work on your car, you don't send me your family's cars. Why should I do your inspection? I tell him it's the law that's why, he owns a mechanic shop! I told him I'd NEVER do business there and I'm going elsewhere for my inspections.
