This is a huge scam and I would not recommend Janik or Campbell to anyone. I was told by Janik that I needed a root canal and crown, so he referred me over to Chris Campbell at Katy Endodontics. To my shock the bill was for $1850.00 and did not include the crown. The out of pocket cost would be around $3000.00 when the average cost for this same process is around $2,000.00 to $2,200.00. The only reason I gave them a 1 star was because 0 stars was not an option. I work hard for my money and to be scammed like this is complete BS! read more

I received 3 root canals with crowns from Dr. Janik about 20 years ago. Every time I see a new dentist, they always ask me who did my crowns and state how well they were done. I've was just recently told I have plenty more years in these crowns as well. Dr. Janik was always hilarious and fun to see. He always remembered me and had an interest in what I was up to. Dr. Janik started off as my neighbor when I was younger. It was only until after we moved that he became my dentist. Thinking back, I should've brought the dude more brownies for dental discounts or higher-grade floss. The staff at his office are all very nice and easy to talk to. The office is good about reminders and trying to accommodate your schedule. Cleaning is always thorough and fairly quick; I can't remember the last time where they didn't call you in within 5-10 minutes of your appointment time. The office itself is nice, clean, and always kept cool. I prefer Dr. Janik over his associate, Dr. Doffing, but only because Janik is just goofier. He's always warm and has something to say/ask about me or my family. Neither he nor Dr. Doffing are overbearing dentists. They get in, answer your questions, let you know where the issues are, and let you on your way. Regardless of how enjoyable dental visits are (I truly love them), like plush restrooms, you still don't want to spend more time than necessary there. read more

Dr. Janik is wonderful! He is very communicative and really cares about his patients. I went to Dr. Janik because my previous dentist told me I needed a tooth extraction, only a year after she crowned it! After I saw Dr. Janik he showed me the X-rays and explained that all the crowns are too large for my teeth causing reoccurring decay between them. After he told me my problems were iatrogenic (caused by the caregiver) I thought thank goodness I scheduled with him before she pulled my tooth out! Dr. Janik and his staff are excellent. Very caring and considerate practice. Even more sweet is that they are located in the medical center behind Starbucks and across from Kroger on Sweetwater Blvd; thus, great location as well. I was referred to Dr. Janik from the periodontist a few suites down - Dr. Stephen Watson whom also has a location in the medical center. and like Dr. Janik and his staff are excellent. Dr. Janik is terrific -- hands down the best dentist I have ever had. He has taken care of my teeth -- and my mother's, father's, brother's, grandmother's, grandfather's and uncle's -- for 20+ years, and we've all been wonderfully satisfied with his work. Even when I moved several years ago, I continued to see Dr. Janik and his team in Sugar Land twice a year; several frustrating visits to dentists in Connecticut convinced me that it was well worth my time to schedule an appointment with Dr. Janik during my trips back home. Now that I'm living in the area again, I'll continue to see Dr. Janik for all of my dental work. Every time I come in, everything is easy: the receptionists are kind and efficient; the dental hygienist (Nayeli) is thorough, yet gentle; and Dr. Janik is personable, honest, and does very quality work.
