We got these cupcakes made for a babyshower this past weekend they were terrible. I've never made a…read morecomplaint before - however we paid 130$ for 40 cupcakes and they were not even close to worth that amount of money. To start, the size of the cupcakes were quite small and all of the cupcakes were different sizes. The cupcakes were dry and the lemon filling was the only part that had flavor and the blue velvet first off looked green, was dry and did not taste like blue velvet, or any flavor in fact. The icing was suppose to be buttercream icing and it tasted like lard. Out of 40 cupcakes 28 were left over... And the few that were tried ended up in the garbage as they were that bad. We called the cupcake place #sugarsweetcupcakes and explained our situation and the lady stated "I'm sorry you feel they were not good...people rave about my cupcakes. The blue velvet looks green and its Italian butter cream made with real butter" I'm sorry you didn't like them.... Was also said very sarcastically. Sometimes things don't work out the way they are suppose to, however the customer service at this cupcake shop is unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not suggest this place to anyone after this terrible experience! I would have given this place a 0/10 but I had to put something or I couldn't give a review.

I would pop in to Starbucks for my coffee and then get a treat here. Everything we had was delicious - the peanut butter cup (yum), cherry almond bar, peanut butter cookie....... tonight it is Saskatoon Berry pie. Also bought a few loaves of Sourdough. A really wonderful bakery and if you are in the neighbourhood, and even if you are not, it is worth the trip.

I really liked the spot and would definitely recommend trying the food, but their ordering system needs some work. There were three people working, but instead of each person having a specific role, they all seemed to rotate between taking orders, heating food, and making coffee, so we waited 20 minutes for our coffees! Although the macarons were good, the best I've had were at Bon Macaron Patisserie in Vancouver. However, the other sweets were outstanding. I highly recommend the Moulin Rouge (flourless mousse cake) any of the chocolates that include caramel, and the cherry ganache (candy). They also had mille-feuille, which is made of thin layers of pastry with pastry cream in between. It blew my mind. Service was okay. The young women who worked in both places were super busy and a bit impatient. As far ambiance goes, everything was bright white and clean. Expect a line.
