One post was not secured in the ground and was leaning when we came up to the house. They didn't put the gate in so now I have no access to my back yard. Trying to find reliable, affordable, and responsive help with landscaping/gardening needs is…read moresurprisingly difficult. After a month long process of calling landscaping companies (all highly rated on Yelp) which resulted in many unreturned calls and one declined offer (from a company that took 2 weeks to get back to me), I was lucky enough to be given the business card for Martinez Landscaping. This is why I feel so compelled to write this glowing review for Martinez Landscaping. You won't find him/them in the yellow pages. They are somewhat of a hidden gem in my view. I was in the process of selling my house and needed help cleaning up 2 years of neglect in my patio/garden area. It literally looked like an untamed jungle until Abad (the owner) and his workers came to my house. He came to my house, gave me an on the spot offer ($70 for 1 hour worth of work) and got to work right then and there. You could not hope to accomplish as much on your own in several hours as these 3 guys accomplish in one hour. It's actually quite amazing. I actually felt like I owed them more than I paid (that's rare with me). As a bonus, they weeded a small area on my neighbor's side just to be nice. And the owner himself is a genuinely nice, helpful guy. He was telling me he took on a massive cleaning project on a large yard that had been untouched for 10 years. So apparently there is no project that is too much trouble for him and his crew. Another helpful thing I learned from him was that you don't have to be present at home for him to do the work (a godsend for a busy single person like myself).

It was completely rude and unprofessional on their part. They should have taken responsibility for their mistake and apologized to me. Instead, they will lose a lot of potential business as a result.
